Meet Ashley Goodrich | Real Estate Agent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Goodrich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is definitely that consistency is really where you see results. If you show up each day and do the things that you were taught to get results, you will be successful. Most people give up if they don’t see results right away. Success comes to those who stick with it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an introvert in the real estate industry, I am somewhat unusual. At first, I am sure there were people who didn’t think I had what it took to be successful because of that very aspect of my personality. However, I learned that all kinds of people can do well in the field. I am certainly not one of those people who has to be the loudest and definitely not the pushiest person in the room. I am a good listener and a hard worker, and these two traits make me good at the negotiating side of my business. I get to know the client and listen to the agent representing the other party so I learn what it is everyone really wants to get out of the deal. Understanding both sides well is how best to navigate a negotiation and ensure both sides “win”. On the other hand, I am also consistent, which helps with earning business in this industry. Showing up each and every day to do the “not so glamorous” things that others don’t do is how to keep from losing steam in real estate.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
These are in no particular order:
1. Take a boat out on Lake Lanier and visit Margaritaville for dinner/drinks at Landshark
2. Alive in Roswell after dinner at Grana on the patio
3. Brunch at Canoe
4. Ice skating in the winter at Avalon and lunch at Superica
5. Hike Stone Mountain in the summer and watch the Drone and Laser Show at dark
6. Up on the Roof Alpharetta followed by a night out at the speakeasy, Roaring Social
7. Attend a Braves Game at the Battery and dinner at the Garden & Gun Club

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize my dad. Watching him start a business when I was young and seeing how he showed up every day (even every Saturday) to work hard and grow a successful engineering firm was very inspiring for me. He demonstrated what it takes to make it with your own business.
The leadership team at Keller Williams has also been instrumental in teaching the steps to success and positive mindset needed in the real estate industry.
