Meet Aaron Castellanos | Co-Owner of The Grand Gourmet & Refinery Hill

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Castellanos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aaron, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I would love to be known for quite a few things, but the most important to me are my kids. No matter how big our business gets, our 4 kids are the legacy we leave behind.
(Julian 17, Cruz 15, Luna 13, Abram 10.
My prayer is that they will continue with what my wife and I have built over the years and that they take it to places we couldn’t even have imagined. 🫶

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart in complete transparency is we truly care! We are a part of every event. We do not want to lose that personal touch. We are here to serve! #welovewhatwedo and it should be seen/felt in all we do! We have grown year over year over year for 20+ years by following one simple rule. Do what’s right… every time! It’s hasn’t been easy, as a matter of fact what we do is not for the faint of heart! You have to have thick skin and attention to detail… but at the end of the day there is nothing quite like it! Everyday is different and we love that! We say this al the time. “We sell the dream and service the nightmare!” Not all events are easy, but no matter how hard it is for us, we will always do all we can to take care of our clients, their families and their guests! Despite how hard it is, it will never for lack of effort. We want the world to know that God is so good to us! He has blessed us with the ability to successfully take care of so many people and we are honored to be a part of their event!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so so many cool places in and around Atlanta that this question is the hardest! We are in the process of opening a winery (Refinery Hill, Mcdonough) and love the wine industry here in GA. I would start with seeing our friends at Three Strands Vineyard and Winery in Dallas. Then I would cross over to Yonah Mountain Vineyards in Clevland. I would end the day riding scooters on the belt line. There are so many good restaurants and fun things to do there!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our story couldn’t be possible with out our stellar team! There are so, so, so many great people on our team and we wouldn’t be where we are with out them! They are our extended family! 🫶
