We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridgette Kimbrough and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bridgette, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have a podcast. I know, who doesn’t? Which is why I entered this space with the tenant of “I am not starting a podcast, I am starting a business.” My development process focused on having a clear mission statement and the need for a very definable, Unique Value Proposition. I wanted to ensure the show’s premise would stand out from the hundreds of thousands of other folks speaking into a microphone.

With a strong UVP and a clear vision for listener outcomes, I find that I can make creative decisions efficiently and maintain a content structure that accommodates future partner integrations.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
On Advice From Strangers, I’ve authored a podcast experiment that creates human connection! Each episode, I welcome a new Co-Host to get some bold life advice from someone they’ve never met! And it works!

As Host, I create a selection of universally themed questions, and the Co-Host picks one to be answered by our episode Stranger live on the pod. The Stranger then joins us to share their thoughts and experiences around that topic. The result is an evolving collection of surprising, engaging, and inspiring conversations!

As a brand, I want to foster conversations that go deep about our real lives. There is a freedom in opening up with someone you will never see again. More importantly, exchanges like the ones we have on the pod reaffirm a sense that humanity can still support one another.

If we use our Spidey senses, they can point us to the helpers that surround us every day!
