We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Rivera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angel, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Stay hungry. Never quit working to perfect your craft.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m most proud of where I am today. I am a shop owner with a full staff of artists who truly love what they do and it shows in their work and attitudes. We see amazing clients daily and have formed long-lasting bonds.
The road to where I am, has definitely not been easy. I have had to remain focused and determined every step of the way.
The biggest lessons I’ve learned are to do the hard things first and learn to love the things you hate doing.
I want the world to know that I care; The vulnerability that clients have and the trust they give us is taken very seriously.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would definitely hit up some a touristy spot like the aquarium, but also some of my local favorites are Atkins Park, and Moonshiners Bar & Grill.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to shout out my mom and dad for their love and support throughout the years. Thank you!
My Golden Mantis Tattoo family. They’re a dedicated and hard-working group of people who I genuinely enjoy spending time with in and outside of the shop.
