Meet Brandi Rhodes | Owner Naked Mind Yoga + Pilates

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandi Rhodes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandi, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It was quite simple ,really. I am a lifelong athlete. I started figure skating at the age of 4 and competed all the way up through a collegiate level (at the University of Michigan). I had an unexpected career in Professional Wrestling for about 12 years. When I retired from sports I wanted to use my gifts, and all I had learned to help others succeed and meet their goals physically. Movement is so important in life, and Yoga and Pilates both tend to intimidate people. I wanted to bring an inviting environment to the table that allowed people to dive into these areas of movement in an approachable way.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Naked Mind Yoga + Pilates is a boutique fitness studio in Roswell that thinks like a big box fitness center, but truly caters to the members. We offer all types of yoga: ashtanga, vinyasa, universal, yin, Yoga Nidra to name a few, and Reformer Pilates under one roof and membership. We also offer CHILDCARE. No one in our area does this. We offer it all at the most affordable rates. We care about our members and understand sometimes you gotta bring your kids along! We have an amazing staff and instructors. It truly is the premier place for Yoga and Pilates in the Atlanta area.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
! love dining on Canton Street in Roswell. So Table & Main, Osteria Mattone and North End Kitchen are a must. Fellows Cafe for the best brunch in town. Butter & Cream for a little ice cream after!
Shopping: I love shopping at Linen and Flax in Roswell. Sister is a great gift shop and West + Peak has the best candles. Avalon is a quick skip away with a lot of shopping favorites. But when it comes to kids stores, I take my little one down to Woodstock to The Little Hen, or Maddison Ave.
We love catching shows Downtown at the Fox Theater, visiting the Aquarium (be sure to check out the Wilkins-Rhodes Sensory Room, which was contributed by my family and Dominique Wilkins family for those with special sensory needs) or just hanging out in Downtown Roswell for various events like Alive!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to Shoutout my parents Otis & Jyll Reed. For always believing in everything I set in motion, and for always being massively supportive. My dad wears only three types of apparel: Naked Mind merch, University of Michigan merch, and WWE merch. This is solely to support me and my husband and what we are doing with our lives. It’s an amazing and unwavering support and we appreciate it so much! My mom tells me how proud she is of me daily and I’m 41 years old. It still feels great to this day!
