We had the good fortune of connecting with Quamay Don George and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quamay, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
The aspirations of someone like myself wouldn’t end with just fashion however, I am interested in doing my own fashion shows solely with me being the headline, on the contrary I thrive in seeing the beauty when others are successful and enjoying the moment. So my end goal has to consist of being able to expand success and wealth through out my community with whatever I do. I want to incorporate a mass of inspiration and tools for others to be able to use and succeed at it. Especially in my societal community .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
With Ordiefly Original it has a certain je ne sais quoi about it that I believe other brands do not. In many ways we are very personal about our connections and collaborations. We want everyone to feel Originality down to the “T”. every shoot done is just as unique and powerful as the next one. I believe everyone deserves to be in an Ordiefly Original. The combinations in fabrics with the idea of designs aren’t usually perceived art in the fashion realm. I like to just create out of the box creations that I haven’t seen before. I believe that itself is very exciting to me because everytime I create I am challenging myself just like life is always challenging me. Through it all my perseverance and always seeing the light at the end of every tunnel has manifested me beautifully into who and where I am today. I take everything I do serious do not waste time on what I have to do and it doesn’t matter if it’s ten people rooting for me I am going hard like it’s A hundred thousand. I continue to give grace through my journey because I am just doing my best attempting to make it in life and provide for my family. Everyday is a gamble however I am betting on myself and I continue to work towards it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I like to party at home so if it’s not a fashion show or a small networking event I am home drinking Pinot Grigio.

Most cases I am working with a model with some dope apparel from me or my friends because we are all doing something to make it in life.

Food wise, I’m big on Chinese food to Lenox mall or Cumberland mall for some Mall Chinese you can’t go wrong with that. Also, Colony Square is good

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In many ways anyone that is creative can be my inspiration. I can’t say one particle person inspires me because at times I am not inspired by man itself. I am inspired by the life man lives and how man creates around that environment. Just as one builds a bride to connect cultural habitats. I see inspiration in how children find joy in everyday no matter the issues of yesterday. I witness the sadness of this world and say I believe I can change it with my talents I don’t care what anyone has ever done I will be the first if I have to. That idea motivates me.
