We had the good fortune of connecting with Angie De Aramburu and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Your mind, art, creation and interactions are never the same in service based careers. Usually creative people have a gift of having an eye or multiple talents, where doing 1 thing the same everyday is not fulfilling. For me, the conversations I have with clients are unique and different so it’s a beautiful, diverse interaction every day. When I spray tan, every canvas/body is beautifully different and I get to work with mixing colors to achieve radiance for each person. Overall to me my career doesn’t feel monotone or boring, I wake up looking forward to it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I would say what sets me apart is my personality, attention to detail and the ambiance my studio creates in the experience of the treatments. There is a pool of talented service providers but every client chooses their person based on how that artist makes them feel, not just how good they are. I like connecting to my clients and sharing some laughs! Some challenges have been competing with the economy and at home products but overall it’s self gratifying to successfully bring in people to you even in these times. One thing I would like to be known about Le Blanc Haus is that everyone is welcome here, every background no matter what religion and ethnicity. Diversity is a beautiful thing, I am Uruguayan and love meeting people from corners of the world. Everyone can benefit from feeling more confident, I hope to give a boost of that after every interaction.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For me it depends on the season, but let’s go with fall season (summer is too hot to be out imo)! I would start by taking my friends to Waffle House for breakfast (we love an all star), a classic. In the afternoon we could go a bit north to one or two vineyards. I love sitting in a cozy set up tasting wine and chatting about life. If it’s one where you can see the mountains, even better. After that we could head back home to have ‘la merienda’ over tea. Then we have time to either nap or wind down and get time to get dolled up for a night out. We’d head down to have tapas at Barcelona Wine and depending on the mood either a moody bar afterwards for cocktails or somewhere with Latin music to dance. I don’t think Atlanta is a city where you can show someone ‘the best time ever’ but it is a place where depending on taste you can make it an eventful day!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am where I am today thanks to my parents, family, partner and supportive local clients. My family taught me to not give up, what entrepreneurship means and my parents sacrificed a lot for me to be able to open doors for myself. My husband is a pillar to me as I can always feel supported by him, in difficult times I look to him, and overall he is my biggest ‘cheerleader’ in life. Today I would not be able to have my business running at Le Blanc Haus if it wasn’t for every single client who sees my every year and has recommended me over and over again. Thank you.
