We had the good fortune of connecting with DaZha Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DaZha, what principle do you value most?
All principles have a time and season of relevance, but one has had the most consistent impact on me: the principle known as the common good. As a creative director, the art I produce often seeks to positively impact society (whether it is internal or socially external). My aim is to cause thought provoking imagery that allows the audience to interpret every aspect of the image, and then compare it to their own perspective of reality. As a photographer I want to capture the essence of a person: their thoughts, emotions, and the era of their life now. I want to create a visual representation of a life they’re living, not just a moment they’re celebrating.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is intentional and the intentionality behind my art keeps me busy. I strongly believe that my creativity sets me apart.I am innovating, trying and pursuing my visions that will cause conversations. Professionally I am still building, and it is not easy but when it does have its moments they are sweet and rewarding. The hardest challenge I have is to consistently conquer doubt, lack of discipline, and lack of patience. When you have a plan that doesn’t derail, you have to trust it’s for the better. When there is a lot of doubt you have to press forward, because there’s a reason it exists. Lack of discipline and procrastination is not the spirit God gave me so I cannot keep claiming it. I want people to know they are ART! They deserve to be treated with intentional care and catered too.In addition work with youth within the education system.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am definitely a Museum/Outdoor/Art type of person. (Any of the museums) and depending on the weather we would go to the mountains or hike in the Canyons of Georgia or yellow river. As for museums the High is always a go to as well as the Carlos Museum. I’d take them out to any type of tea shop/ diy art studio/ or anywhere on the Beltline.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course ALL Glory and Praise goes to GOD for the vision, but also because the people he has put along my path. I’d first like to shoutout Shekira Retemeyer the CEO of “CREATORS REALM” for giving me an opportunity to work and collaborate with other creatives on projects that inspire the consciousness of others. Also, Clavonna Smith the CEO of the talent program/agency of “The Creatives Club” deserves a shoutout for her help developing the portfolios of all types of creatives through projects, social media outreach ,and networking opportunities.
