We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Lowder-Haynes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Crystal, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Outside of leaning on my great support system, family, and like-minded people, taking care of my spiritual being, my emotional being, and my mental state, aligned with revisiting and understanding my why have been the greatest habits that have helped me succeed. If you don’t know why you’re doing what you’re doing then you can’t go pass Start Here…..If your spiritual being, emotional state, and mental state is not in tact then the foundation of your why with begging to have cracks that allow others and the enemy to deter you from your calling. There is no better person that you to fulfill your dream and the calling places on your life, so start with your why and nurture your spiritual, mental, and emotional and yes physical, being each day.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a well rounded elementary educator with a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with endorsements in Instructional and Academic Coaching and GTE Gifted. Outside of the classroom I am a Minister of Worship and CoPastor of Everlasting Waters International. I have had the privilege of speaking to victims and survivors of domestic violence, as well as working with music and youth ministry leaders that are in need of growing their youth department and music ministries. This journey has not been easy, but when it’s your passion you find your place, nurture your why, and continue growing in your calling. I have been down on my luck but I fought my way back to the top. I’ve learned that when your fight for what you want the journey is not supposed to be easy. If it was meant to be easy then would we really be able to treasure the rewards at the end………
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
