We had the good fortune of connecting with Quiana Davis, Courtney Browning-Smith, and Latasha Sewell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Quiana, Courtney, Latasha, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
There is help out there that will come to you and will not cost you anything out of pocket. Through working in our industry with special needs and medical fragile children one major thing we discovered is not a lot of parents realize there is help out there. We love being able to educate them on the benefits of the GAPP Program and seeing both the relief and excitement on their faces, especially those who felt overwhelmed . We also take pride in guiding them through the steps of getting approved for the program and staffing a nurse that helps the families not only physically but usually mentally as well.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Quality Care & Love is an in home pediatric home healthcare business that provides nurses and or licensed caregivers to families of medically fragile children. We provided specialized plans that fit each specific family’s need. These needs can include anything from In addition to specialized plans, in home care is provided 24 hours a day, so we work around your schedule. Best of all, we are part of GAPP (Georgia Pediatric Program), a Medicaid funded program, that allows us the ability to provide these services at no out of pocket costs to families for children up to the age of 20 years and 11 months. We complete all submissions for you and the intake process is about 30 days. Our unique approach, personalized care plans, experienced staff, and commitment to delivering exceptional services is what sets us apart from other home healthcare businesses, so make sure to reach out with any questions.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some spots to definitely check out during a week long Atlanta stay are:
– Enjoy Piedmont and/or Centennial Olympic Parks (with the kids) by taking a walk, riding a bike, having a picnic or impromptu photo shoot
– Have brunch at Forks & Flavors
– Attend a High Frequency Friday event at High Museum of Art.
– Learn about civil rights history at the Center for Civil and Human Rights.
– Skating at Cascade or Sparkles
– A day trip to a wine tasting in the North Georgia Mountains or Dahlonega
– Have dinner and drinks at Truist Park, The Works, Ponce City Market, Politan Row and/or Krog Street Market.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to send a special thank you to our mentors Brand and Tronda Giles (owners of GHI Life Sharing). They have assisted us with everything from how to get our initial approvals to operate in the state of Georgia to providing detailed training on operating the business itself (how to get clients, nurses, deal with potential audits, etc). Furthermore they are still available to answer any questions we have at any time. We are truly blessed to have them in our corner.
