We had the good fortune of connecting with TiffanySherice and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TiffanySherice, how do you define success?

I believe that success is individualized. I have learned to not determine my success by external standards or the achievement of others. So, for me, my own goals, growth, and attempts to “try” define success. What may have been easy for someone else to accomplish may have been extremely hard for me. So regardless of the outcome, whether failed or otherwise, I want to celebrate my attempts to try. I find success in simply giving my goals my best shot.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Born in Petersburg, Virginia and practically singing my entire life, I did not know that I would release a debut single this year. After graduating high school, I pursued a professional career in Registered Nursing. While singing locally, it was through prayer that God revealed that there was a greater call on my life. I was very hesitant to pursue writing, singing and recording as I often struggle with the fear of rejection, failure and feelings of inadequacy. It was while pushing past my own fears that I have found so many others have endured the same hardships. I am proud to say that even with the release of “Do it Afraid” I am still doing it afraid. I depend completely on God to give me the courage and boldness that is necessary for my purpose. “Do it Afraid” is an anthem for every person who has ever experienced fear as a barrier between them and destiny. I am grateful to share my story as it compels others to move from fear to faith and share theirs.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
FOOD – I am a food lover and I have found that my best weekends are when I am trying new food spots and relaxing!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate my shout-out to the “Fearless Crew”. Since the release of my debut gospel single, “Do it Afraid,” the Fearless Crew has shown an overwhelming amount of support and love. For years, I allowed the use of my gifts to be paralyzed by fear. Overcoming the anxiety and fear of walking in my calling has been no easy feat, but the “Fearless Crew” (made of local hometown support of family and friends) have not only celebrated the release of this single, but prayed, encouraged and motivated me to continue with what God has called me to do.
