We had the good fortune of connecting with Bonnie Van Cedarfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bonnie, what makes you happy? Why?
Making my clients happy is one of the best feelings in the world! You know you gave them memories that will be apart of their story forever!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a portrait photographer who offers both standard and speciality sessions. My speciality sessions are fun, interactive themed sessions based off my clients story and preferences. I even partner with other local companies to offer my clients an experience as well as photos!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My speciality sessions actually show you my favorite nooks and crannies of Historic Savannah! If I was planning a speciality session just for myself it would be hard to include all my local favorites, but it would probably start with coffee at Savannah Coffee Roasters. From there I would stroll down to E.Shavers Bookstore to pick out a good book and take it to Pulaski Square. I would finish the day with walk down Jones and Charlton Street ending at a rooftop with live music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband! He would have to be my first and foremost shoutout because I literally couldn’t do what I do without him. When I dove into running my own business he dove with me. He supported me in many ways and he literally is the reason I was able to put every dollar back into the business and we still have a roof over our head.
