We had the good fortune of connecting with Constance Delores Burrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Constance Delores, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I am in the business of writing, editing, and publishing books. I currently have an award-winning children’s book available for purchase on Amazon KDP and Ingramspark an international wholesale website. Books are designed to stimulate the mind and take the reader on a mental journey. The social impact that my book has had on my community thus far has been very positive, both children and their parents have given ‘Kyng Supa Nova’s Adventures Operation Covid-19 With Family, We Can Conquer All’ 5 stars across the board! They love the activities with finding and counting the globes throughout, the journaling in the back of the book, and the coloring in the hardback version! Covid-19 was global and had an impact on us all so it was fitting to add an activity with globes and give them the opportunity to write their very own story to conclude so they can express their emotions surrounding the pandemic, Nova even ask questions throughout so if they need help journaling he directs them to answer those questions. This assists parents with teaching their Little Superheroes critical thinking, arithmetic, imagination, and articulation of their innermost thoughts, fears, and triumphs! I am proud to announce Nova’s Adventures are in Trinidad and Tobago, Ghana West Africa, and are now available in both French and Spanish too! I have stellar reviews and videos of my international Little Superheroes reading aloud, doing the activities, and thanking me for my donations to their schools. The teacher in Ghana told me that her children will not put it down and they are in love with my book! I am blessed to say that my impact spans far and wide and I plan on touring internationally soon!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art comes from my soul; it is like I have accessed my akashic records! I get visions, what some call “downloads” and I leave myself what I call “bread crumbs” to add onto later. My work ethic, experience, knowledge, wisdom, introspection, and fearlessness are all qualities that set me apart from others. Moreover, I specialize in serving my community and uplifting others, I LOVE IT! I am known for being outspoken, fun-loving, loyal, generous, authentic, and genuine! I take pride in my resilience and my ability to see the silver lining in life! Moreover, I am most proud of winning the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards bronze medal in the comic book/graphic novel category! I am most excited to see what other book awards I have won that I entered into in December 2022, which will finalize next month February 2023, so be prepared to hear that great news soon. It has been a long time coming and I have had too many obstacles with learning about book publishing. I have gone through all the hoops and I am prepared to assist other authors with self-publishing. I overcame challenges by doing extensive research on publishing properly so my clients will not have to deal with those problems. I have learned to not procrastinate so much and to delegate tasks when I need help. Asking for help is hard, and finding it is even harder! Nonetheless, the work has to be done and executed seamlessly! I am a perfectionist and I hold myself to, sometimes, unrealistic standards and others too. Everything has to be in its proper place when it comes to book writing; editing, copyrights, and the writing must be perfect. In my case, I have a children’s book with illustrations so not an eyebrow or limb should be out of place! I do not play when it comes to my art, I’m sure my illustrators dislike me at times because I go through them with a fine-tooth comb to get everything right! I hold no punches, and speak my mind; as a result, I have an award-winning book! My brand CDBA Publishing, LLC will be producing cartoons and more from this book series very soon and I’d like the world to know I am here to spread Love and many Blessings!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland so I will start there then we will take a trip to Atlanta, Georgia if that’s okay with you guys! Let’s Gooooo best friend!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a huge shoutout to my mother for always being by my side! Ms. Michelle Burrell has been a beacon of light throughout my entire life and a perfect guide to me realizing who I am and trusting that God will see me through to my destiny! She is truly an earth angel, which I have always known and felt about her because, despite all of her trials and tribulations, she loves others! In my opinion, only an angel can love those who hurt them! She has provided everything my siblings and I have ever needed as a single mother all while being a private duty nurse working 2-3 jobs at a time! I would tell her that she is too loving because we sometimes do not appreciate or recognize her efforts but she still goes above and beyond regardless. All of this has been but good and bad in a sense because I feel it has taken its toll on her mentally and physically! Now that I am grown, I try my hardest to insure that she feels loved and cared for just as she did for me! I plan on retiring her once my book picks up steam and my cartoons and the series do more numbers! She is my beacon of light and now I am hers until the end of time and after that too! She is my connection to source and I will stop at nothing to make her golden years just that, GOLDEN! It is of extreme importance to show love to those who deserve it the most in our lives! People have the tendency to show others love who mistreat them. I too have been guilty of that in order to change their perspective and view of me to no avail. I now know to love who loves me back and never fight for someone that has given up on me! My mom has never done those things thus she gets all of my love now! Thank You, Umi!
