We had the good fortune of connecting with Nora Chika and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nora, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
My passion for wanting to express my creativity is what manifested my business, Benorèl. As my creativity continues to blossom, I’ve learned quickly that having structure is the freedom that will produce the results I need in evolving Benorèl as well as myself. Having a strong foundation along with organization were great starting points I used to build my business. Embracing the saying “energy flows where attention goes” is one of the few mantras I live by. I make sure that my mind is in the best state when coming up with ideas, and centering my focus before releasing any product.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Benorél goes the extra mile to reflect a perception of high quality, self – empowerment, boldness and an uplifting image. Our personality is that of sophistication and natural beauty, which is portrayed through our amazing range of diverse products. It is our integrity to create a relationship with the consumer by showing how to just be; be you & be true.

‘Sophisticated Natural Beauty’. This is the concept statement followed to remain aligned with the brand’s values. It’s exciting to see the message come across and to be received well by our consumers.

Sophisticated: Our first pillar is Sophistication is supreme. The best way to understand the world around you is to understand the world that is within you. We are enlightened and forward-thinking people who offer only greatly refined products. We carefully design every product and delivery to satisfaction to the tastes of our ideal target audience who are cultured and have extensive worldly experience.

Natural: Our second pillar is Nature is glorious and the ultimate simplicity. It’s about working with what you naturally have, enhancing that with natural elements, and loving the core. It is to embrace the true essence in deep discovery of you. We consciously reflect this in all we do, and we are determined to continually pay attention to nature and everything natural. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wonderful question! As someone who loves nature, I would definitely take them to the park to explore and embrace nature. I’ve also met some pretty cool people at parks while working out or attending public events. Parks are great! These are places in our community to simply focus on our wellbeing and to understand why nature can positively influence us, Another place I would take them is to a museum. I LOVE ART! Art is subjective as it allows people to pause, reflect and discuss which I will always appreciate!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I really want to accredit my success to my late father, Nwosu W. Okoro. May he rest in perfect peace. All his life he demonstrated the true meaning to be compassionate, humble, honest and extremely hard working. A quote that he instilled in me from a very young age was that “nothing worth while comes easy”. (Today his voice still echoes in my mind) That quote alone has made me resilient in any and everything I put my heart my into or towards any adversity I may face. He taught me that I can attain anything just as long as I have a plan in place. I am a big dreamer but through his teachings I am a deep thinker who cares to shows up as my authentic self! My father will always be a wonderful role model and mentor in my life.
