We had the good fortune of connecting with Marie Nadal Sharma and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to soften the boundaries between tech savvy and non tech savvy people and bring back some trust in our industry. I felt like some communication was broken, and I wanted to bring a more holistic approach to the digital space.

I strive to apply self-care in the digital space and advocate for more kindness online.
Explaining the ‘what’ before the ‘how’ in digital marketing has helped shift the perspective from what we should do to what we want to do/share online – what matters to us.

 

What should our readers know about your business?
My work brings technology and people together. And when technology meets people, we can use technology for good and have open-hearted conversations online. I believe that we can apply self-care in the digital space, and that the online world is not always a reflection of who we are as people. We need to think beyond the platforms, 1 person at a time and stay curious. When it comes to our online presence, we need an awareness of what triggers us, what we say ‘yes’ to and what we say ‘no’ to. This is our platform and we decide who has access to it. When in doubt, we can simply unfollow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite cafes in Melbourne, a road trip to country towns, a trek in a national park to spot koalas and kangaroos in the wild, and a yellow canola field…

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Everyone showing up and stepping out of their comfort zone to amplify their voice. People being positive and giving back even when they’re at their lowest and when life has not been kind.
Kind leadership inspires me.
