We had the good fortune of connecting with Corinthian Washington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corinthian, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

I started 3rd Eye Booking Company May 10, 2014. I met bands who had difficulty booking shows. I was once an artist booking tours for my band Jhamasa Corinthian. Therefore, due to my experience, I decided to help other bands book shows and tours. 3rd Eye Booking Company has a team of 7 agents. We’ve booked over 2000 shows to date.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
3rd Eye Booking Company is a hard business to handle if you are not experienced. It takes sleepless nights, music knowledge, and overcoming rejections to get the job done. If you love music, helping others and understanding the importance of being behind the scenes, you will be very successful. When this company first started, we’ve made mistakes and lost money. However, we’ve been more successful than any small failures. Me and my team have helped more bands in the underground than any other independent agent in the US.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
3rd Eye Booking Company is based in Los Angeles, CA. However, I have agents in other places around the US. I myself is based in Jackson, MS to operate my finance company Corinthian F.I.C., and teach school. I teach children with special needs. This is something I really enjoy. There are so many places in Los Angeles to discuss. I am not a drinker, but Mississippi has some of the best southern food you can get. There is a local place called Sal & Phil’s. It has some of the best catfish ever.
