Meet Alex Boyajian | Host of Chaotically Intolerant, Gridiron Chaos & Semi-Professional Golfer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Boyajian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my podcast, Chaotically Intolerant, because I have listened to podcasts like Pardon My Take, KFC Radio and Bring the Juice Podcast for a few years and I felt that I could do the same. I know they make a ton off their shows and if I could find a way to make a fraction of what they make I could make a real living doing what I love. I would look back to conversations with some friends of mine and I thought “wow, that was actually funny, I bet if I just put a microphone in front of us we could make some fun content” and that was what I did. After a while we kept growing it and making it better and better, we added a video element, I started doing video game streaming posing as a football coach for the “Tecmo Bowl” video game on NES, we are coming back to that this year in February after the NFL season ends. We also started running a yearly ping pong tournament that we turn into a “Drive to Survive”-esque documentary on YouTube. I created a football podcast to be a subsidiary of Chaotically Intolerant called “Gridiron Chaos”. The show runs strictly during the football season, I hear all of the talking heads on many different sports channels and I felt I knew more about the teams than they did so figured I should add that to our content slate.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am currently pursuing a career in professional golf as well as trying to grow my brand. I have some injuries that have set me back physically but I am working to get past that. Florida in the fall has a lot of rain so some of my training times are limited but I try and get out on the course all day for 5-6 days per week at the very least. I used to play baseball, football and basketball but I found that golf is much more of a challenge mentally and physically is so many more ways then people can imagine.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Sarasota, FL. I think the first place I would take them is Lido Beach. Sarasota is famous for their beach Siesta Key but it gets way too crowded during the summer because of the tourists. Usually you do a couple of beach days, probably grabbing some food from the grocery store. I’m a big fan of Pho Cali downtown, a small Vietnamese restaurant. I would probably look at going up to Tampa for a few days and catching a Rays game or a Bucs game since I am a sports fan. The Rays games are affordable because no matter how good the Rays are, they cannot draw a crowd, which sucks, I would love to see them have a larger fan base.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say my family, my girlfriend, my hosts and everyone out there who supports our show by listening to the show or being active on our social media
