Meet Krys Bond & Kass Armenti | Founders & Owners of Kitsch & Keen Collective

We had the good fortune of connecting with Krys Bond & Kass Armenti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Krys Bond & Kass Armenti, how do you think about risk?
While we have a healthy view of taking risks, doing so can be scary. Failure is never fun. However we recognize that doing so could also result in growth. It’s never easy to take a leap of faith but in our case it has proved to be rewarding. We started out with our focus being our subscription boxes and we were and are content. But we recognize an opportunity when we see one. We saw the potential to use our boxes in other avenues and decided that it would be a great idea to offer them as corporate gifts, closing gifts for real estate as well as gifts for events. We were not sure if adding these services to our plates would be lucrative or if it would even garner any interest. On the flip side, being that this was all new to us, we didn’t know if we were in over our heads. To our surprise, we were able to partner with a few companies and this has opened the door for many more partnerships. We stay busy but we are happy and look forward to future opportunities to grow our business..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our business really stemmed from our love of people and wanting them to have something to look forward to. Initially our audience was a group of friends who would be receiving our gifts boxes as favors at a virtual event we hosted during the pandemic. We wanted to provide a pick me up amidst such a rather bleak time and it did just the trick. Since then our mission has remained the same. As long as our boxes keep bringing smiles to the faces of our subscribers, we know we’re doing something right! Based on the feedback we’ve been receiving, that seems to be the case!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love this question because we love exploring Atlanta!
We’d be sure to visit some of our favorite brunch spots including: the Southern Gentleman, Buttermilk Kitchen, Hawkers, The Select.
For drinks: Jojo’s Beloved, Mrs. P’s, King of Pops, Guac y Margy’s, Ladybird
For dinner: Little Alley Steak, Garden Room, Delbar
Eat, play, shop: Ponce City Market, The Works, Downtown Decatur, Virginia Highlands, Battery Park, Buckhead Village District, Westside Provisions
Experiences: The Illuminarium, Walk the beltline, Piedmont Park, The High Museum of Art, Puttshack, Check out a candlelight concert, Amicalola Falls, The Botanical Gardens, Skyline Park

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We have to give it to our hubbies! We’re still growing and learning and figuring things out, but through it all our husbands Chris Bond and Andrea Armenti have been our biggest supporters. From providing raw and honest feedback to spending whole days at artisan markets to offer support to burning the midnight oil with us, they have been such an integral part of the success of our business and we are eternally grateful!
