A thing that we all really center on, both as individuals and as a family, is congruence within one’s self. We all tend to have a lot of voices in our heads that aren’t ours brought on by ego and social conditioning, so finding the one that actually belongs to you means that even failure in that place is a success and where true progress resides. “Life is like a camera. Focus on what’s important. Capture the good times. And if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” This quote resonates with me because it reminds me to only give my attention to things in my life that serve me the most and never give up no matter what adversities you may encounter. Life always throws us curve balls, but it’s up to you to create your path for greatness despite any shortcomings. With starting my photography business, I have experienced many pitfalls and obstacles along my journey but I did not let that stop me from chasing my dream. In turn, I’ve used failures to motivate me to be better and do better, to be an inspiration and help others who want to walk the same path. It’s taught me to get back up, pick up my camera and take another shot at this thing called life. You never know who is counting on you, so you have to keep going! #destinedforgreatness. Read more>>
Desiree Nichols | Event Designer
“To whom much is given much will be required” (Luke 12:48) This quote resonates so much with me through the lens of my childhood, as my father consistently relayed this ideal into all of our teachings. Throughout the years, and with acquired wisdom it has grown with me. More so now then as I child, I can relate wholeheartedly with this message. I strive to utilize the talents I was blessed with to spread positivity and benefit others. I understand that we are responsible for our decisions, and constantly try to be and do better on a daily. This quote is the “why” behind Events by Amiya Elise. It’s “why” I strive to complete each order with love and compassion. As much is required by me by you all I understand my responsibility in sharing my talents to make each experience worthwhile. Read more>>

The Weeks Motto. Which is 3 simple things: -Everything you do, do it with excellence. -If they push we push harder. -Always keep it moving forward It means so much to me. It has been a daily affirmation for me and my siblings since I was a teenager. It’s a constant reminder to always do my best and never back down from a challenge. It also gives me hope when I face adversity and don’t know what my next move is. This mantra is so important that I have even incorporated it into my children’s lives. Read more>>
Falisha Riaye | Business Owner & Creative Strategist
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. This is my favorite quote and affirmation. I refer to it often because “powerful beyond measure” is beyond my understanding, which means that I am pretty powerful. I love how the question of brilliance, gorgeousness and talent is asked and the answer is simply, “who are you not to be?” That has been the answer when I question or second guess how amazing I AM. Yes. Its a quote by Michael Beckwith that states “You pain pushes you until your vision pulls you.” For me, I was meandering through life doing things without purpose until I aligned with my purpose, which for me is as a creative individual is acting, producing, and creating content for the world to enjoy.
