We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Rhinehart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hannah, what is the most important factor behind your success?
It may sound cliche, but the answer is passion. I believe in Perfect Harmony on so many levels. The foundation that we’re built on is creating a space for healing with the arts. People accomplish this every day using music, art, and movement to heal them emotionally and spiritually. At Perfect Harmony, we have nationally board-certified and licensed neurologic music therapists who are able to take the elements of music and effect real change and healing in the brain and body for cognitive, speech and language, and sensorimotor rehabilitation. Lastly, and most importantly, we get to work with people of all ages, abilities, and walks of life. Their stories inspire me. They inspire me. I want to be here every day learning about our clients and their families, their hopes and dreams, and help them reach those goals in a medium that so easily make work seem like fun.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit that believes that just because healthcare is innovative does not mean that it should be a luxury. Our team specializes in treating the whole person in harmony by connecting the brain, composing the mind, and synchronizing the body through providing therapy, resources, and community access. We desire to continue to grow in this community and become a place of creative respite for people of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds. We long to be a gathering place where neurotypical and neurodivergent alike are able to come together to create beauty out of the ordinary. While we currently offer therapeutic services and resources, our long-term goal is to have a space where people can physically come together to experience life without the lens of disability or injury defining or dividing us from the community at large.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, it would definitely depend on the friend! I love a trip to the North Georgia mountains hiking the trails, relaxing at a vineyard, and shopping in quaint downtowns. I also love a good sports night cheering on any home team, but during college football season you’ll know I’m calling the Dawgs! You’ll always find me loving on a great coffee shop (Land of a Thousand Hills or BrewAble), brewery (Monday Night, Gate City, or Creature Comforts), or eating a delicious brunch (Gracious Plenty or The Nook).
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family is my number 1 biggest fan. When this opportunity presented itself I wasn’t sure I had what it took to be a successful business person. It wasn’t my background and would be a big leap of faith! I had a toddler and a baby on the way – not to mention it was the summer of 2020 and the world had stopped turning. Definitely not an ideal time to ‘put it all on the line.’ My husband and parents were unwavering in their belief in me and that I could make it work. I also had a unique situation in that I was reaping the benefits of the hard work of a fantastic therapist and businesswoman who came before me, Jamie George. Because of her hard work and dedication to her business, I didn’t have to start at ground zero. I had structure, a staff, and trust from my peers that allowed me to take a running jump into this industry.
