We had the good fortune of connecting with ESCARLETH SANCHEZ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ESCARLETH, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy is my son, If it was not for my son I think I would have backed away from the car business. The car business has been a very great opportunity for me and gave me tough skin working in a male dominate industry. I have been very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to become a sales person as it gave me the pathway to become a finance manager as well for a few months and move to a high line store that was very hard to get into. I strive to keep working harder and become successful so I can always see a smile on my son’s face because that smile bring me happiness. I guess you can say my son really brings true happiness to my heart and I strive to be the best mother I can be for this little man and show him with hard work comes great rewards.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a car sales representative, I started off at another Ford dealership being a porter and moving cars. At that time, I was in college, and I just wanted to do better so I applied at Gwinnett Place Ford where Charles my old sales manager interviewed me and gave me the opportunity to start my career and let me start my journey in the car business. I remember the day leaving my old dealership when I told the manger I was going to put my two weeks, he laughed at me and said how are you going to do it if you have never done sales before. But you know what , It was very hard at first being only 18 starting in car sales with all senior sales people and mainly all men. I remember having to argue because they were tough on me and having to learn the system and how to talk to people. But I feel like being thrown into the car dealership made me who I am today I got to be there with all those amazing sales people the later became my family and I couldn’t be more thankful for one of the sales lady name Hilda that helped me so much as well. I think you really have to have tough skin working with men, and dealing with a lot of customers. But at the end working there blessed me to meet such great customers that have sent me numerous referrals and had the opportunity to become a finance manager as well at my age and becoming a brand-new mom too. I couldn’t be more thankful for Jose for giving me the opportunity as a finance manager .He had hope for me and knew I could be great, but I took a step back from it since I just had my son which became really hard for me. I missed my son a lot, I think being in the car business as a mom and being a woman is definitely a challenge but you have to work 10 times harder to prove yourself and respect yourself as well. Being in this profession has taught me a lot and introduced me to so many people and I have been blessed with all the loyal customers I have as one of them said ” Sigue vendiendo y ayudando a los paisanos ” which is ” Keep selling and helping our people “. I have been so happy seeing many of my customers start their credit when they buy a car from me and then them paying on it so good and buying their homes and some of them without speaking any English but they work so hard it makes me so happy and now they bring me their kids that I watched them when they were younger, which gives me joy seeing them buy a car from me and go off to college as well . It makes me so happy seeing my customers do good and growing their business . I am happy to say I am blessed and thankfully now I get to meet new people as well as I started off my new journey of sales at Mercedes-Benz of Atlanta Northeast and helping new customers get their car of their dreams. I think moving into this dealership was very hard for me at the beginning as I did not have the cliental that I had at Ford but I would say to anyone starting off in the business it is hard at first so don’t give up. It takes time but I had hope and I know I have to make it as I have my 3-year-old son watching me and I want to be able to give him everything and show him that working hard and being nice to people pays off. I think I have been able to overcome everything even on my slow months and there has been day’s where it is super tough on me mentally, but having faith in god and knowing I have to be successful for my son is my drive to keep going. At the end of the day, knowing I have faith in god is number one too . I would like people to know if you’re a women in the car business keep going it’s hard but you can do it and if you’re a mom like me our kids will look up to us and know that we know about cars as well and their mommies rock! Keep pushing and working hard because it’s blessed me and now I am starting my own little business for now Micro shading eyebrows . So all of that work pays off and hopefully my business will grow big.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In my opinion I would recommend Botica in Atlanta , it’s such a cute vibe and the food was so good. They have a brunch selection and bottomless mimosas and overall great great employees . We also have like great roof top selections to go out and dance.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A special shout out goes to Charles Aycock who gave me the opportunity to start in the car sales business and kept pushing me to be better and better. Also Jose Piscoya who is like a brother and always mentored me to strive to do better and let’s not forget the number one person my mom she has always pushed me to do better and I owe everything to her because she’s the one who taught me how to work hard and she’s one of the reasons I want to be successful so one day she does not have to work as hard anymore, she deserves the world because she raised me and my two brother’s all alone, she’s a true trooper. But other than that I am very thankful for the car business overall as I have been blessed to meet incredible people along the way as well , and learning a few things to finally starting my own little side business in the beauty industry Microshading eyebrows!
