We had the good fortune of connecting with Casey Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Casey, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is the love and support of the people around me. I am nowhere without my camera, but I am lost without the ability to serve the wonderful clients that have made my business what it is. I am thankful not only for the past clients, but the clients to come. I love making memories that will last a lifetime, and I owe my success to the people that have entrusted those milestones and memories with me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Pinnacle Photography LLC is something that I never could’ve dreamt of, even as a young teenager. I had been taking pictures all my life, starting with our compact family digital camera. My parents noticed my love for it, and bought me my first camera my senior year of high school. That just happened to be the starting point. I used that camera up until last year to take photos of pets, family, friends, and eventually, clients. This year, I have gotten an upgrade and have had a blast learning how to use it and all the new features I can be creative with.

Being in the photography business is competitive, challenging, and gives me that drive to do something for others that I absolutely adore. I’ve learned so much since starting my official business about 5 years ago. In the last year, I have rebranded to Pinnacle Photography. New name, same purpose; to capture the love people show one another. I look forward to capturing more and more moments in the future.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
How fun! First and foremost, I LOVE food and shopping! I would definitely have to take them to Mac’s Chop House in the Marietta Square (Ask for a drink from Justin – He’s the best there is) for food and a quick drink. I might suggest Ponce City Market for lots of wonderful shops and a nice golden hour photoshoot on the rooftop overlooking Atlanta. There are lots of interesting things to eat, see, and do in and around the Atlanta area.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Before anyone else, I’d like to thank my husband Scott for believing in me. He has been my number one cheerleader, my best friend, and greatest inspiration. The love I am able to capture with my clients reflects the unconditional love he shows me every day. I can’t thank him enough for helping me keep my feet firmly planted on the ground, but my head up in the clouds; ready for the next adventure. To Scott, I love you endlessly.

To my other supporters: my family, friends, and colleagues – I thank you all! I especially could not do what I do without the help of mentors like Erika Word, owner of ee Photography, the best second/associate shooter Beth McGhee of Ivey and Oak Photography, and our lovely assistant Emily Dean.
