We had the good fortune of connecting with Audrey Latsu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Audrey, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand, is realizing that no one is going to promote your brand as much as you are. Being self-driven has been the most important factor for me. Do not wait for anybody to motivate or encourage, you, you need to be your own source of motivation.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is that I try my best to find styles that other brands do not have. It separates me from others and makes my brand unique, our new bucket hats and Kim sunglasses have been a hit amongst our customers. I would say nothing about entrepreneurship is easy, but do not give up. I overcame challenges through self motivation. I continued to post about my business on every social media platform that I could, and in person to I always have a business card.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The most fun, interesting places to go are the places with bomb food and a vibe. Escobar Restaurant & Tapas, has great food and is perfect for a night out. Two great spots for seafood are the The Boiler Seafood and Krab Queenz (they have so many sauces). Another lunch option is Slutty Vegan, it was definitely worth the wait and the staff are so friendly! Cru and Skylounge are great lounge options.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shoutout to my customers! My customers have been my main source of encouragement to keep going and are the reason behind my success. In the beginning of my entrepreneurship journey I made so many mistakes. so I thank the people that were able to bear with me and continued to place orders and realized that I am human. My customers are the best and write wonderful reviews, message me to thank me, and tag us in there photos and raise so much awareness for my brand without me even asking. I am so grateful for each and every one of them.
