We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Powell, Sr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

What are you inspired by?                                                                                I am inspired by how I have witnessed the Lord Jesus Christ not only transform my life, but the lives of many others who have also given their life to Him. Salvation is so powerful, and only Jesus Christ can save us from our ways of sin and from hurt, pain, and unforgiveness. Under my leadership at Heaven to Earth Worship Center and the moving of the Holy Spirit, I have seen the Lord heal many spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially. Many have accepted the calling upon their lives. Many moved out of subsidized housing, and many people have gotten married. As the Heaven to Earth Worship Center sanctuary banner and ministry t-shirts proclaim, “Where Jesus is Using Ordinary People to do Extraordinary Things!”

Please tell us more about your career. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?                               I have been in ministry for over 30 years, and I serve as an Overseer and Prophet. I am the founder of Faith & Works Outreach Ministries, Heaven to Earth Worship Center (HEWC), and Open Heaven Academy alongside my lovely wife, Prophetess Esther Powell. I am also the visionary and conference host of Broken Men On the Altar (BMOA), an annual men’s conference that is held in Tampa, FL.

What also sets me apart from others is that I am an author of the book titled “How to Live as Citizens of Heaven” and a teleconference host. As an Overseer with an apostolic grace, I have been assigned to the area of birthing churches and overseeing ministries in Florida, Georgia, Germany, and the Philippines, along with spiritually covering several itinerant evangelists and prophets as a spiritual father. I am most excited about what the Lord has done in my life, what He is going to do in my life, and in the lives of His people. I am most proud of my salvation, being a husband, a father, and a grandfather. What also sets me apart from others is that I have stayed under the same spiritual covering and have accepted the foundational teaching of Jesus Christ that the Head Apostle – Apostle Kathy Kinchen has taught me for over 30 years and counting.

The Lord delivered me from many challenges. He has delivered me from drug addiction, homelessness, living in poverty, gang banging, selling drugs, serving prison time, depression, and obesity because I gave my life to the Lord Christ Jesus and became a born-again believer. This was not an overnight process, but I had to make the decision to surrender my life completely to Him. In doing so, He has caused me to prosper spiritually, naturally, and financially in every area of my life. It has not been an easy road for me, but it has equipped and shaped me into the man I am today and will continuously grow and develop into.

Lessons I have learned along the way are to be obedient to the word of God, practice righteousness, love God’s people, and forgive and release. Jesus Christ can use anyone to do His will if they are willing to let Him be Lord over their lives and stay encouraged. I want the world to know that Jesus Christ is real and He can set us free from darkness, sin, generational curses, and demonic oppression.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your view what are some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out?                                                                                                    If my best friend (which is my wife, Prophetess Esther Powell) and I were in the area, we would go out to eat at some of the finest restaurants in the city, such as Patti LaBelle’s, and visit CNN. We would also visit the church where Martin Luther King, Jr. pastored, attend a powerful church service, and do some shopping downtown.
