Meet Emmanuel Glaze | Media and Non Profit CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Emmanuel Glaze and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emmanuel, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by the possibility of creating platforms and programs that can help people today and for future generations. Our biggest gift that we can do with anything we create is build something that will last for generations. That inspires me everyday when I wake and keep working on my businesses.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am currently Owner and CEO of a non profit called Optimize The Vizion and a media company called OTV Media LLC. I am also the co-host of a sports talk network called The Crush Sports Network. I am ecstatic about each of my business ventures as each serve a different area in my life. I started The Crush Sports Network 6 years ago and with my partner Maceo Heard Jr and we have legitmiately created a network that is highly recognized in the city of Atlanta. My nonprofit Optimize The Vizion started in January 2019 with the purpose of exposing middle school students to all the possibilities the world of sports can provide. In 20 months we have been able to take over 20+ students to over 20 different sporting and virtual events in the Atlanta area. We have worked with 5 counties in the metro Atlanta area and we are excited about the future of the program. OTV Media LLC is a media company I created to help create healthy and exciting conversations with different people from sports, business, entertainment and etc. Since starting in April 2020 OTV Media has interviewed over 60 people from all over the United States and our show airs on Facebook, twitter and Youtube. Each program is built to create a positive influence in the communities we serve. The Sports show is providing viewers an opportunity to get sports without a spin on it, the nonprofit is working to expose students to a world of possibilities and the media company is working to create healthy conversations again. Each have their challenges from finances, viewership and competition, but what makes each work is passion, organization and the love for what we do. At the end of the day I want my brands to stand out for the work we create, the love we have for each and the legacy we are building through them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First our food places will be on point as we will visit restaurants such as Atlanta Breakfast Club, Le Petit Marche, Big Dave’s, Old Lady Gang, Tom Dick and Hanks, Fish Thyme, Harold’s Chicken, Mr Everything Cafe and other great places. Then we will have to hit a few historic spots such the MLK Museum, the civil rights museum, the aquarium just to name a few. Then we have to hit the night life with spots like Suite Lounge for instance. And if that isn’t enough we can visit some of the great sporting events that surround the entire city of Atlanta. Of course we would have to observe COVID-19 protocol for each.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate this to my wife and my two children Nia and Nadiyah. Their belief in me helps me work hard to build a legacy that both they and I will be proud of. My children also make me want to work hard daily to leave a legacy that they can take over once I am done.
