We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiarra Trammell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiarra, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Absolutely! I have several but the one that sticks with me daily is “Keep On Pushing”. Keep on pushing to me means everything because that small quote means so much and it has a major impact when I tell others. There were days when I felt like I couldn’t go on or when I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. But I have always had that little voice consistently telling me “keep on pushing”. As women sometimes we get so wound up in our daily life routines it becomes a bit overwhelming. Keep on Pushing is for everyone! No matter where you are in life, how hard some obstacles may be remember you were given that task/journey for a reason always remember to just “Keep On Pushing”

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the founder of two organizations: Sisterhood Of Queens LLC, & EncourageH.E.R. Academy Inc.

SisterHood Of Queens is a Womens Organization I formed in order to give women a platform to come together in unity and embrace what sisterhood is meant to be. We host events, workshops, retreats and more that allow women from all walks of life to come and learn more about themselves and others. We organize networking events so that sisters can link and collaborate with work projects. We are not about competition ,our mission is to help the next sister on her journey to becoming the best version of herself no matter how that may look. Judgement free zone. What separates us is that we know that sisterhood is a journey and that relationships are built overtime. We remain consistent and in tuned with our sisters by providing them with love, encouragement and support.

EncourageH.E.R. Academy Inc. is a mentoring program for girls 6-17 years of age. Our mission is to provide our girls with the key components needed to get through life. Providing them with a safe space to be themselves while nurturing their thoughts, dreams and desires. We expose our girls to opportunities they may not have access to due to different reasons. We provide them with mentors that focus on life lessons such as financial literacy, culinary, health and wellness, continuing education and more! Every girl is different and her dreams are too, we help them achieve their goals by helping them put plans into action. The old saying “It takes a village” is still important to this day. It truly takes a village to help mold and inspire our youth to reach for greatness. Our motto is “Girls with Dreams become Women with Vision”.

Where I am today I haven’t walks been, it took sometime and a lot of soul searching within myself before I was able to form these organizations. I was asked one time “why do you think you qualify to have organizations such as these” and my answer was simply “Why not me?!” When God has a calling on your life there is no running from it. It may take time but that vision and calling is always there. I formed these organizations because I don’t want any woman or young girl to feel as if they are alone in this world. I want them to know they have places and people that can hold their hand and walk alongside them.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout is dedicated to my mother! Whew! my mother…where do I begin about her? Growing up in a single parent home and being the oldest of 3 I watched my mother work numerous jobs in order to provide for us. Was it jobs that she liked..no! But she still went to work daily to provide for her household. My mother is the true definition of a woman warrior, and I am so very grateful that God chose her to be my blueprint. Even when things got tough for her she always remained positive and took then challenge head on with no complaints. She would give the shirt off her back if someone needed it. Her compassion and dedication definitely trickled down to me. in 2019 she was diagnosed with renal failure and although she has her own battles and some days are better than other she has remained my #1 supporter. No matter what events I’m having, what speaking engagements I’m at she is front row and center cheering her “baby girl” on. I owe my success and achievements all to Pamela Gary-King…my SHE-RO!
