We had the good fortune of connecting with TuTxTuT Of KhamenLenz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TuTxTuT, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risk is everything for me. Even though taking risk is scary sometimes it always resulted in something positive or even allowed me to gain some sort of knowledge from it. I think taking risk is important when it comes to getting where you want to be. Without risk you won’t ever know your real potential. Not all risk ended well for me but I knew for sure With each risk came wisdom. One of by biggest risk was moving to Miami Beach, Florida to pursue my Master’s Degree in filmmaking & as well as my music. Just the act of me getting up and leaving where I was most comfortable was a major step for me. I didn’t know what was going to come from it other than new faces & connections. I knew if I got to comfortable I would be comfortable with being where I was. Deep down I know where I want to be & I’ll continue to take risk, which is the direct definition of a entrepreneur.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a musician & director I stand out fairly easily. Both of my brands represents something special in its own way but goes hand in hand. “TuTxTuT” Is the expressive side of me where I tell my fans & supporters my life experiences. The name “TuTxTuT” derived from the thought that I’m only in competition with myself. That inner battle & wanting more for myself is what keeps my brand moving and creating new ideas. My name itself stands out to 100% of the people that come across my brand . I make it my mission to make sure I’m being completely authentic to my fans so that they can now the real me. TuTxTuT is a brand that never gives up & constantly showing the world my endless possibilities. I’m most proud of the consistency I’ve been with releasing music. Only being in the music industry for just a couple of years I’ve managed to release 1 mixtape , 6 singles, 2 EP’s , & multiple features. I think many upcoming artist struggle with releasing new music & I believe that’s what helped my brand grow at the pace it’s doing. I remember sitting in my room listening to Gunna “Toast Up” on loud. My roomate Auqiie knocks on my door & ask me “what’s that song ? This beat is fire I’m going to make a remix to this.” The next morning he knocks on my door again and ask me if I want to go to the studio and lay down the remix to the song. From there I’m surprised and confused because I never really seen myself being a rapper. I told him yeah of course but I didn’t have anything written or any idea how I wanted to say & write the verse. So as we head to Rochester 2 hours away from Buffalo I started to write my verse and by the time we got there I was ready to record. This track turned out to be my first song & my first hit song in Buffalo . Local college fans loved the track . Couple years later we ended up shooting the music video in Miami . Getting to where I’m at today with music is a fun journey. I use music as my get away therapy. I don’t allow myself to get over stressed when it comes to making music. I learned over the Years that consistency is key & having a good face card is important. With the music side of me I plan to bring back originality , style, creativity, rap , soul , & love to the hip hop industry . Now that you learned a little bit about the music side of me now it’s time to get into the artistic creative side of me “KhamenLenz” . Khamen lenz came from “King TuT’s “ full name “Tutankhamen “. Everyone calls me TuT so I took that & branded it to the fullest. I started gaining the love for film & editing back in 2016. I had a passion for recreating scenes and showing people how different & unique you can make something look. Back in college me and my friends would throw huge college parties & at first I personally thought they could have used way better visual content than what they were getting. The size and type of parties that were being thrown I didn’t think it was being captured right so that motivated me to start doing event videography. After 4 years in Buffalo I gained so much experience & connections shooting multiple music videos , events & photographs locally. From there I knew I wanted to master this creative ability & gained more knowledge from a professional level so I decided to attend film school in Miami. From there I knew both my music & my production company could expand & thrive. I’m most proud of how quickly I learned how to edit & deliver a great product for my customers. It was almost instant after invested in film equipment I was able to market myself as a brand & make money from doing so. I went ahead & created me a logo as well as a social media page. I’ve worked with different celebrities such as Benny the Butcher, Sosa Geek, Shadelima , Dj Drama , IMAN Shumpert, Jim Jones , Camron , Juelz Santana & a few more. It’s amazing to be able to make both talents works simultaneously. People that I first meet off the basis of film usually have no idea I make music & Vice versa. It’s not that I don’t want them to know, Majority of the time I’m just so locked in that moment I don’t have time to think about the other. I think the way I brand my business is a great tactical way to move in the industry. Sometimes my KhamenLenz brand get’s me in door that being rapper couldn’t do for me & Vice versa. It’s kinda like I have the industry cornered. My end goal with my business brand is to own one of the biggest production companies that offers things to artist that aren’t normally apart of the average production companies’ services . I just believe that no one could do it better than how I’m going to present it. I just have to keep working hard .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friends were in town I would first let them experience the yacht vibes. Cruising through the Biscayne with music , food & drinks is one of my favorite experiences. I also can’t forget the jet skis. Flying through the ocean passing by celebrity mansions is also one of my favorite motivators to success. When it comes to relaxing and enjoying the sun I love to visit local hotels like Cadillac Hotel & any other hotels with pools , food & music. The best food is over the bridge in Brickell or even some spots on south beach. We going to Big Pink , 305 Cajun Boil, The Licking & pretty much any place I enjoy. There endless amounts of food and local spots. I’m also bringing my friends to my local studio at “Wheuat Studios “. For some reason my friends love the studio vibe. You can relax & vibe out. I’m also adventurous , I like to rent out sling shots and drive around the beach. Sling shots feel like Mini drop top race cars with great music sound. If you with me make sure you’re ready to be out and living life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all I want to shoutout my Mother Simplicity. She’s my day one supporter. Literally without her none of this is possible for me. I also want to shoutout my brother Auqiie. I met auqiie in Buffalo when I attended Buffalo State College, he’s the one who pushed me to start actually making music and pushing my brand. My first song I ever recorded was with him called “Gunna Freestyle”. We push each other to the upmost limits which is what I value to the most. I also wanna shoutout Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship Inc. Those are my brothers. Shoutout to my brother Hey Samyr, billboard producer from Canada but resides in Miami. I met him early 2022 and we been making great video content as well as working on music. The chemistry is what I’m most grateful for. Other than That I want to shoutout everyone who’s been supporting me and my business ventures it’s been truly appreciated and I have mad love for ya.
