We had the good fortune of connecting with Robin Beautelus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robin, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Embracing a new professional identity changes you because of the new realities you create. I always dreamed of becoming a nurse, it was nothing I wanted more. I’ve been chasing this dream since high school. But once I moved to Georgia and got pregnant reality really set in. I thought to myself I can’t do this every day, giving myself to a job that doesn’t care about my well-being or health. So I decided to do something most people don’t do, I left my high-paying job and I betted on myself. I wanted to be something I was born to do, which is being a BOSS! I’ve learned in this process it’s okay to take risks even if you think you will fail. You have to believe in yourself because trust me nobody else will. You have to have a bigger, clearer perspective of what your business entails.

What should our readers know about your business?
Rejuvaa Wellness Bar is a mobile IV hydration therapy company located in Atlanta, Georgia. What makes us different? We are a black-owned company operated by registered nurses. I created a space where women of color are pushing health and wellness. We are the most affordable iv hydration company and we will soon be operating 24 hrs a day! I am most proud that I started this on my own no hands out just hard work.

How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy?
I learned from entrepreneurs in my family. My brother was able to create a six-figure business with his wife while working a 9-5 job and being a full-time dad. I thought to myself if he can do it and I know I can. I listened to all the mistakes he made in the process and decided to do it better. I wrote my plans, studied my market, learn pros/cons, hired lawyers and accountants, saved my money, and executed my plan. Easy ? HA! Social media makes it look easy, there are days when I don’t sleep and eat because I’m working. Creating an empire is never is easy, you must work hard and give 200% every day!

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?

The business has its ups and is down for the first four months I grossed over $12,000 and then the next month I had to spend so much money on marketing and getting a team. I literally use to do everything and realized my business is not going to grow if I keep doing everything. Also, surround yourself around people like-minded like you my biggest downfall in this process was trying to take people with me who didn’t really understand my vision. You need to have people around you understand the bigger picture.

I want the world to see I don’t have that struggle story society wants you to have. I work my butt off every day. I failed and failed again, but one thing I’ve always done is try. I have that work hard story any person who ever knew me or had a conversation with me they’ll tell you, Robin, when she wants something she’s going to get it. I’ve never had to push anyone down just to bring myself up or hate anybody else because they were in a better position than me. I know my time is coming I’ve always been an underdog, I believe that God has a plan for me, which is to always be true to myself.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout to this little person who is truly dear to my heart, my beautiful daughter. The love she has brought into my life is a dream come true. She brought purpose to my life again, she pushed me in ways. I thought I can never see. I just want to be the woman she looks up to be and I want her to see if mommy can chase her dreams so can she.
