We had the good fortune of connecting with Darshana Patel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darshana, what’s the most important think you’ve done for your children?
The most important thing I’ve done as a parent is to be in the habit of asking myself, “How do I know what I know?” This one point of intentional awareness has been a surprising key for me in recognizing and reflecting on intergenerational beliefs and patterns that perpetuate oppression – especially of women. The question, “How do I know what I know?” set in motion a trail of transcendent insights along my journey of self-actualization, empowering me to break out of rigid societal and cultural structures – including a traditional arranged marriage – that confined me at age 19. I believe, as a parent, holding a personal quest to self-actualize liberates not only my innate potential, but serves to blaze a trail for future generations to expand their fields of possibility, disentangled from the vines of yesterday’s limiting beliefs. As we cultivate the fullest blossoming of each generation’s divine expression, we resolve old patterns of suffering and become a more fulfilled and civil civilization. I honor my daughter, Ayesha, who pursues to explore and express her voice and activism through writing, acting, music, and photography. Together, we continue the quest of intergenerational healing to resolve the limitations of systemic structures that keep us – especially women of color – from knowing and unleashing our true and unbound potential.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My story is about emergence, transcendence, and liberation. It is my desire to be a resource to others seeking to unleash their full human potential, knowing from my own path, that we are all divinely powerful and limited only by our beliefs and our imagination. Utilizing IONATION® – the lens, language, and logic of vibration, I guide individuals and groups as they develop their vibrational intelligence. Individually, I advise clients on how to liberate their multidimensional potential, recognize their limiting beliefs, and upgrade to new versions of reality. Collectively, I synchronize groups into a coherent flow state to generate solutions from the realm of untapped, yet emergent creative potential, where literally anything is possible. My friends describe IONATION® as my “magnum opus.” IONATION®: The Field Guide to Vibrational Logic, distills insights attained from seven years of introspection about the nature of reality, and the knowing that everything is vibration, and therefore, “inFormatION.” IONATION® is the foundation for a version of humankind where communities harmonize their existence to nurture self-actualization and multidimensional living. “Turn Your I-On” is a movement to recognize that “every ion matters” as frequency creates form in the vibrational nature of reality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Let’s first soak in the sunset over the Atlanta skyline from my balcony. The next day we can walk the Beltine to Ponce City Market for a bite to eat and then head up to Piedmont Park to soak in the sun on the lawn. The next day, we can devour my favorite veggie burger from Fred’s Meat & Bread in Krog Street Market and enjoy the architecture while walking through neighborhoods like the historic Inman Park. We’d weave in the highlights of the history of Atlanta with visits to the The King Center and the Oakland Cemetery. We’d sprinkle in some hikes through the week through some of my favorite local trails to take in the beautiful Atlanta canopy. An Atlanta visit is only complete with a couple nights in the North Georgia Mountains to hike and rejuvenate. On the way up there, we’d stop for a quick hike up Sawnee Mountain to the Indian Seats to appreciate the stunning view and vibes from atop the mountain, a sacred site of the Cherokee and Creek tribes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give a shoutout to all the inspired artists and revolutionary creators who courageously disentangle from limiting paradigms to liberate their minds, voices, and evolutionary expression in service to the creation of a thriving version of the world we dream and know to be possible.
