We had the good fortune of connecting with Marq Dalcoe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marq, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The greater the risk the greater the reward is what I believe, I have had trials and triumphs from taking risk, some major downfalls and also major come ups due to taking risk but without the risk I don’t believe there is any accomplishment or reward in a nutshell…

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Above all else, Music is my first love so producing and creating music will always be at the forefront of my career even though I have many other business ventures, Music comes first, I recently got into podcasting, tune in to We Guud Podcast every Wednesday and Friday at 8pm, I have come to realize that I really enjoy podcasting and plan to take it As far as I can, in the short time that I’ve been doing it, it is growing rapidly and doing better than I even expected and eventually I’m planning on turning the show into a channel/app and putting out my own shows and content, I’m working on a docu-series of my life story and eventually will make a bio pic. The road have not been easy, I actually didn’t make it as far as I wanted in the Music industry coming from a different era it was a lot harder to get on back in the days than it Is now, it’s a lot more avenues and streams to get on now than we had to take advantage of and I started out as a rap artist but I believe if I would’ve focused more on my production and being behind the scenes throughout my career I would’ve made it a lot further than I did but I never gave up and now my production has took off I have some major projects in the works, I have some super talented artist that I manage and big things are definitely cracc’n now y’all just stay tuned. We also have krackpies the pasties of hip hop that is taking off in a lot of different cities and multiple states now and we also have the vending machines on the way so stay on the look out for those sweet potato cheesecake pies that are so addictive like crack hence the name but with a K and a lot of other endeavors that we have under the We Guud Brand umbrella along with dirt town sound production company, righteous grind academy (teaching the youth financial literacy and more) and also bars and vocals showcase that showcase different talent around the world that we help put on (Artist & Producers) we have a lot going on under the We Guud Brand to keep a look out for that’s taking off because of our consistency and dedication! It’s all about staying focused no matter what might try to distract you, the World is full of distractions but you have to be discipline and stay focused on what you’re trying to accomplish and make the necessary sacrifices to make sure u get to where you need to be, nothing is impossible if you keep at it, it may not be over night but hard work always pays off, hard work and perseverance… I’ve been in and out of jail, shot 4 times, in and out of the hospital and more throughout my life and career but I never gave up and kept going towards my goals no matter the hold ups or set backs I just never let nothing stop me because I’m all about creating financial freedom and generational wealth for my kids and their kids now cause I’ve lived my life and a great one at that… so that’s what it’s all about for me! I had to learn the business side of everything I had my hands in because being a creator have always been my main focus but that’s also been my downfall cause me not knowing the business side of things allowed me to get taken advantage of at times and also miss opportunities where if I knew what I knew now I would’ve taken a lot of more risk sooner to get where I am now… I’m real big on financial literacy cause it’s all about passive and residual income with me now, if you can’t make money in your sleep you will work till you die!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Just me personally I like the strip club vibes More than the regular club because it be more laid back and I’m older now so I’d say magic city or blue flame and also Ruth Chris is one of my favorite restaurants

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out my biological family for being such a great support system throughout my life and everything I’ve been through in it and also my team, The We Guud Brand family cause without their help, support and motivation there would be no success, I believe everybody needs somebody sometimes and everyone has a role, if everybody play their part we will go far and there is no limit to what we will accomplish in life and career…
