Meet Konto Freak | Sexual Health Goddess “Owner”

We had the good fortune of connecting with Konto Freak and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Konto, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur but thought it was out of my reach. I read the book rich dad poor dad and realized I was one of those people in the “rat race”. I read more books, attended a few seminars, connected with like-minded people, and was motivated to strive for better because I felt I had become complacent. Throughout the years leading up to now, I have always had a profound love for sexual exploration and taking my partners for the ride with me. I also realized that I am not the only woman who has dealt with insecurities, fear of shame behind sexual liberation, experienced depression, or sexually assaulted. Furthermore, society does not ONLY affect me or any ONE gender. we are all in this together. That was the beginning.

I continued to make Facebook posts about sex, erotica, educating the masses, and giving tips. I created a podcast on anchor and went live a lot. In fact, I joined an online class to keep gaining education on sexuality, consent not only but also talking to children about sex. Thinking back, in nursing school, I made it my duty to ask questions about the sex organs, hormones, and children. I found myself always involved in conversations about sexuality with friends and colleagues but I thought everyone did. My videos had people encouraging me to do more.

I later created Kontrol Freak (I didn’t think it would go anywhere, I did it for fun and a trial run but treated it as a business just in case). Although, it was upon request. Friends, coworkers, followers on social media, etc. all wanted a “SEX” blog in like manner I loved it! Seeing how much I actually love the body, how I didn’t mind discussing sexuality, it made others realize that this was a passion and that motivated me to do more. Furthermore, I hosted an event. Free of charge for the members of the group. As I taught, I realized we all participate in kink but were not educated on the terms and proper performance.

Therefore, I began to practice with my partner and got another teacher. Today, I read, experiment, and perform my own studies based mostly on the people in my community and my personal participatory research. In addition, I give out free condoms and pregnancy tests while spreading awareness right in my old neighborhood, Wynwood, formerly known as Overtown. I realized during our FREAK IN THE STREETS SURVEYS (street survey) that women were always uncomfortable when I mentioned the word SEX or anything in that nature.
As a result, I created our KISS & TELL LADIES NIGHT to empower women and educate on our sexuality to refrain from letting society choose how we feel about ourselves. Not long after, a few online radio hosts as well as podcasts were noticing me. Soon after, I had been interviewed a few times and one decided to bring me on the show to stay; THE TASTY HOUR TV (co-host Blondie C, White Chocolate, Bugatti, and myself) where we talk about clinics to visit for std, awareness on LGBTQ, Relationship statuses, BDSM, and more.

I received so many questions from couples and others about kink. So much that I began hosting male seminars on the orgasm gap, consent, protecting themselves legally and sexually and doing couples online and in-home courses. Thereafter, I was invited to speak at the Hippie Haven Miami on two occasions. One for children and parents on age-appropriate discussions about sex with children (preschoolers, school-age, teen, adolescents, etc.) second, men’s sexual health and wellness open discussion and speech.

In 2017, my vision was to imagine a world where people are treated with dignity and respect no matter the gender identity or sexual orientation. I vowed to be passionate about providing accurate information based on studies and findings in our community. Now, we have places where Kontrol Freak (you and I) is welcome to study safe sex, grow, and learn from one another. Still In 2022, my vision is to build more relationships, partnerships, sponsorships, and a place to call our own. A place to educate, play, and purchase Kontrol Freak products. What should our readers know about your business?
I educate on sexuality & pleasure, I have an adult toy line, lingerie line and wholesale program. Additionally, I host events, seminars, speed dating for couples and singles, kink parties, kiss & tell ladies night (vagina owners only), ties and cigars (penis owners only), we have private parties, fetish services, seminars, private couples courses, private events, model castings, I’m a radio personality on Mondays, and I have a Kontrol Freak podcast (on Anchor, Spotify & Apple) . Soon, I will be providing kink services courses.I travel to Orlando, Atlanta, and Texas for bookings and expansion. Future, Tennessee, Chicago , and more coming. Getting here was not easy but it has been fun. Networking has helped me tremendously and so has building relationships.

I have learned that most of our members believe in our mission. Our members have made me realize that every service I provide sets me apart from everyone in this business, we teach at our events, we make learning fun, we are professional and I am proud to say that we are growing daily.

Advice:
One must be a listener, do everything in love, be open to everything, never judgmental, be passionate about whatever you choose to do for oneself and others.

Some of the challenges have been finding locations open to our services for our events. Funding and budgeting ie. gaining full access to our business account and suitable locations.

Not knowing how to do things in business were minor issues.
