Meet Blaqk Molly | Performing Artist, Model, and Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Blaqk Molly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blaqk, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
My most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make was and still is to have faith without security. As an artist you have to be confident in your craft, but as an independent artist you have to have confidence in your craft and the decisions you make and whether the end result is good or bad continue to push through. Every aspect of my career falls solely on me and there is no one to blame for failure but myself. But no matter how hard it is, my faith can not waiver. I trust the urge I have for my art is truly my calling and that keeps my confidence high.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I’ve learned as an independent artist is, that hard work you put in is very rewarding when you know the efforts and sacrifices it took to accomplish your projects. It’s never easy but you get used to being busy, and stressed and excited all at the same time. You’re always a little uncomfortable because it’s unfamiliar territory with each new opportunity and that’s growth. If you really want it, you will make it happen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
