We had the good fortune of connecting with Irving Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Irving, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It was always a dream of mine to start my own business. When I was young I used to dream of being my own boss and creating something from nothing. So whenever I stumbled upon this opportunity, I knew I had to take it. I did some research and discovered the trash bin cleaning business. The cards fell into place and I ended up being able to turn my dream into a reality. Wash Waze was born as the one stop shop specializing in trash bin cleaning, pressure washing, and window cleaning.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our business specializes in trash bin cleaning. What sets us apart from others is that we are one of the only ones who provide this service in our area. The trash bin cleaning service is a necessary and essential service to protect yourself, your family, and your community. We got here with what started as a dream to own a business and then I did more research and stumbled upon this business idea and knew it was the right move for me. It was not easy but it was worth it. I overcame the challenges by staying diligent and the support of my family. I’ve learned to always keep a positive mindset and to always provide exceptional customer service. In situations where you have an upset customer, you can almost always turn the situation around by maintaining a positive attitude and having good customer service. I want the world to know that you can make something out of nothing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends were in town, the first place I would take them is to the gym. We would do a workout and then hit brunch at Jack’s Place Bistro. They have a famous Buffalo Chicken Salad that is amazing! We would then go for a stroll through downtown and catch up on old times. After we could hit Rollies, for a tasty ice cream.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that I would like to shout out. My family had a huge part in helping me build the confidence to start my own business, so I definitely have to give them credit. As far as that business side of things I have had two mentors that have guided me along this journey and I can honestly say that I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for them. With that being said, I would like to thank Barbara Cooney and Charles Anderson for everything that they have done and continue to do to help and guide me along the way.
