We had the good fortune of connecting with Kasandra Marbury and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kasandra, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have a private practice and noticed a large number of new clients ambivalent about services but interested in services. I created Innher Peace LLC to help women work on their healing process through journaling. The journals have prompts for those who don’t know where to start and need some guidance, so our journals have questions to help women reflect.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One of my proudest moments was being able to get my Mindfulness Journal in 3 stores. I was in a store and just so happen to ask about placing my book in the store. It was perfect timing because the person who is in charge was there and we were able to make it happen. That leap of faith allowed me to try 2 other stores and they also agreed. This is a proud moment because it allows others to be exposed and actually see and touch the journal, in hopes that they choose to explore their mindfulness pattern.

What has helped me to get here is my determination, creativity, and my support system. I have several different close friends and family members that are my sounding board. I don’t always go with their suggestions but I think they know I appreciate the different perspectives. I think having my support system sets me appart. I know a lot of people who own a business feel like those closest to them do not support them and for right now that is not the case for me. I am blessed.

I want the world to know that there are so many ways to going inward and fidning your peace. One big way is with paper and pen ie journaling.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am so grateful to have interacted with so many people who have directly and indirectly impacted my determination. My sisters and cousin have been a great impact and I think the relationship is reciprocal. I’ve had the opportunity to network with other business owners and they have influenced me to think and dream bigger.
