Meet Yah Morrison | Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yah Morrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yah, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I feel if you don’t have to risk anything, it won’t be worth anything.
My life has pretty much been all about risks. When I moved from Michigan to Georgia I had never even visited once. I left a job I had been at for 5 1/2 years. I was in sales, and I was actually one of the Top Producers so I was making a lot of money. HOWEVER, I wanted to gRow as a person…I knew because I was so good they would continue to allow me to get away with any and everything basically so it was time to say goodbye. I walked away from everyone I knew and everything I knew….I risked it all to basically gain all I was desiring.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am far from your traditional realtor lol. I’m your favorite sister, daughter, or cousin. I’m transparent, determined and relatable. I proud to help people just like me obtain their dReam Home. If they have bad credit, I will show them how to fix it. If the have no money saved…I will show them how to save and still get a home while saving. I remember being without or not knowing how…so its a honor to show people just what I did and how it works. My business is where it is now from a mixture of social media (I’m a story teller) and my past/forever clients who sends me referrals on top of referrals. Its my work ethics and heart for them. I go over and beyond and I don’t allow challenges distract me…they push me to figure out a way lol. Being successful in real estate or life in general is NEVER easy, but it’s worth it. I do what I do because I love help others, so no matter how hard it gets I still enjoy my job. A lot of prayer, mentors, positive thinking and speaking, and just determination helped me overcome the many challenges of real-estate. I learned balance is everything, without it you will soon hate what you love and be mentally off. I would love for people to know I’m as human as them. I’ve been through a lot of traumatizing events in life, but I didn’t allow them to stop me, change my heart, or from dreaming and achieving. If you knew me 10 years ago, you would laugh at me saying all I was going to obtain in next 10 years lol. This is where even when the world don’t believe in you still go for it all, be it ALONE if need be…and I mean it ALL!!!!!!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is so the wrong question, as I’m truly a homebody lol. But I also love to eat so I would say we Spondvits, Huston’s, Arizona’s and Stoney Rivers to eat most definitely. I hang we would stroll through the Beltline or Midtown. And of course we would pay my church The dReam Center Church of Atlanta a visit lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Major shoutout to God most definitely, He truly guided my every step, protected, strengthen, and kept me. He actually led me to my church The dReam Center Church of Atlanta…where I gained a whole new family. My Pastor’s truly have a lot to do with where I am. I was so lost and hurt when I came here…and didn’t even know it. They loved and poured into me in a way, all I wanted to do was grow and I start seeing myself the way they and God did. And my daughter Erin, who lost her father when I was 4 months pregnant. I was all she had basically, so I just wanted to provide and surround her around nothing but the best. She my biggest motivator and contributor to my leaps of faith, she deserves it all.
