We had the good fortune of connecting with Patrice Ayanna and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patrice, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by everyday life. How can I make it easier, how can I work smart and not hard … I am inspired to make luxury more affordable. I share life hacks, poems and blogs to make adulting easier it’s my passion.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
There seems to be a push for creative people to abandon the 9-5 for entrepreneurship, however I am a 9-5er. I have always managed a career in the capacity of helping others either as a mental and behavioral health therapist and also as a college administrator. Although it has been anything but easy, I take joy in helping others overcome adversity and achieve their goals.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love good food and good vibes. Anytime there is live music … cute cocktails or water I’m there! My favorite drink is a blueberry lemon drop from Hudson Grill. When I need to decompress a smoothie or coffee from Chattahoochee coffee company sitting by the water there brings me peace. If I feel like dancing anywhere DJkemit is spinning is where I wanna be !!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a tribe of friends and family who have pushed me to never give up on art and my creative side my mother was my biggest fan and cheerleader and the first person to recognize my gift for writing and push me to play with and have fun with fashion.
