We had the good fortune of connecting with Byron Walter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Byron, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I believe balancing your work and life is very necessary. Especially in times like we find ourselves in today. You don’t want to burn yourself out and lose the passion that’s fueling your drive/career. Plus, it’s beneficial to your health and happiness. You want to be able to “let your hair down” in a sense and give your body and mind the proper time to decompress. You never know what epiphany or thought may come to you in that down time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being in the health and wellness industry isn’t for the weary. But I wouldn’t choose to be anywhere else. Always felt that this path was bound for me to walk on. Ever since I was a child I was amazed of what the human body can achieve. No matter what the goal may be. So through, playing sports and continued education, I’ve found my way to where I am today. It hasn’t been the smoothest journey but nothing worth having is easy. The best way to overcome the challenges is what I feel you need to have, no matter the test ahead, consistency. That’s the only way you can achieve your goals and prove the doubts in the back of your head wrong. My advice would be remain consistent and put in the work that’s going to keep you ahead in your field, and most importantly, your life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m pretty introverted naturally. But hear are a few places that I love to go and visit. Restaurants: I would suggest Loving Hut in Norcross, Tassili’s Raw Reality in the historic Westend, and Twain’s in Decatur. If you’re looking for a nice outing and something different. I would suggest visiting Artlanta. The Stained Gallery in particular. It’s a beautiful space where young creatives and artist display their gifts and talents. Now if you’re really looking for adventure. I suggest you drive up to north Ga. Cleveland, Ga to be exact. Look for the Yonah Mountain Trail. It may force you break a sweat along the way but the views are worth it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I have to shout out my friends and family. Especially my parents. Thankful for the foundation they set for me to build off of. I love you. Secondly, the books that have recently shaped my life, mindset, and business in the proper direction to stay on course are: “The Align Method” by Aaron Alexander, “The Mind-Gut Connection” by Emeran Mayer, “Eat To Live” by Joel Fuhrman, “The Body Keeps The Score” by Bessel Van Der Kolk”, “Can’t Hurt Me” by David Goggins and “Things No One Else Can Teach Us” by Humble The Poet And last but not least, I want to shout out my amazing clients. Thank you so much for your continued support, hard work, and dedication. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate you.
