One of the most important factors behind my success is that I’ve never forgotten that God made only one of me. In never forgetting that, It’s kept me going no matter how many people are doing the same things that I’m doing. They’re never going to be able to do them exactly how I do them, due to them being them and me being me. Never forgetting the value that you have by simply being you, will be the success in anything you desire to do. Read more>>

Sachi Nakato Takahara | Owner, Nakato Japanese Restaurant

There are several things that I would attribute to my success. The first is our long-term employees, who are absolutely the cornerstone of our success. So many of the employees have been with Nakato for a decade or more and these people have become my second family. I have a great deal of love for them and care about them deeply. It’s these employees who make sure that our guests receive the consistently high level of service and food that my grandmother laid the groundwork for, more than 50 years ago. In addition to the loyalty of our long-term employees, I would say that the guests who have been dining with us for decades, as well as our wonderful neighbors in Piedmont Heights, many of whom consistently dine with us several times a month, are some of the biggest factors of our success. B33n Had It (Better Known As P.L.M. IM HIM) | A&R, Artist, Producer, Songwriter, & Engineer

Off bat, my relationship with GOD because the things that GOD put in my heart to do, like moving with optimism and paying respect (or kindness) forward to the people I meet, have been huge factors in many of my biggest industry relationships. A great example of this is my chance encounter with a pianist and aspiring producer some years back in Guitar Center. When I initially saw him playing the piano, a part of the old me (the pessimistic me) said “don’t even waste your time trying to talk to him, he’s stuck up”, but the new spirit that GOD placed in me said “yeah he does have a peculiar posture, but what did I tell you about assuming things, JUST GO TALK TO HIM!!!!”… Read more>>

Reggie Lewis | Pageant / Life Coach

The most important factor behind my success has been my intuitive ability to see beyond the obvious. While many refer to it as the “it factor,” I have often found that when I am unable to explain my fascination, that is the girl….or guy.  Read more>>

Quanzerria Dupree | Poet, Spoken Word Artist & Encourager

I can confidently say the most important factor behind my success as not only an artist but also an individual is my belief and faith in God. The more I release my gifts, my thoughts, and my ideas to Him, He rearranges them, making them align with His. My job then is only to give my yes or no. When yes, He does exceedingly, and abundantly above all I could ever ask for. Despite what may seem unknown to me, it is fully known to Him. Knowing that His plans have always been to PROSPER me and those He loves, I choose to trust His plan. All my success comes from God and all glory be given to Him alone. I just have to continue being a WILLING vessel! Read more>>

Herman Prater Jr. | Photographer & Creative Director

I attribute the success of my brand to the unwavering commitment to authenticity and staying true to what/and how I feel in that moment of time. As a photographer and creative professional, my role involves consistently delivering innovative and groundbreaking projects. One crucial aspect of this success is my ability to envision and conceptualize an idea and witness its fruition. I firmly believe in the power of manifestation and being on time with where God wants you. While immediate recognition may not always be universal, I am confident that the vision I bring to any of my projects will eventually be acknowledged in some capacity. Read more>>
