Well, hopefully we won’t have to keep building huts because Georgia will have an adequate housing supply, but in the interim I’m happy that we were able to navigate clients towards permanent housing and keep tabs on the ones who prefer to stay outside. Some clients will refuse services at first, and it’s our job as a community to look after them until they’re ready for the next step. We need to influence the next generation of helpers, to demonstrate that you don’t have to be an emergency responder to assist neighbors in crisis, but that anyone can improve the situation if you’re willing to engage strangers.
