What brings me the greatest happiness is the sense of accomplishment that comes from completing a trek, a section of a thru-hike, or summiting a mountain. Some of my fondest memories are those moments when I pushed beyond my limits and achieved milestones like reaching Everest Base Camp or completing the West Coast Trail. I find immense joy in immersing myself in nature—whether it’s through observing, painting, or simply being present in the natural world. These experiences, where I challenge myself and connect deeply with the environment, are what truly resonate with me and bring me the most satisfaction. Read more>>

At this stage of life, my family makes me happy. This has been one of the toughest years of my life, losing my dad. My family has truly helped me to keep going. On days when I struggle to find the strength to get out of bed, my family is right there, supporting and encouraging me. Specifically, my children bring me the greatest sense of happiness; knowing that 4 little eyes are watching my every move motivates me to be better for them.
