We don’t believe success is random. Over the years we have spoken with hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs, artists, creatives, researchers, athletes, and more. We’ve learned from them – both through their stories and through the advice they’ve shared with us – and it’s quite evident that success is more likely when certain habits are present. So, we decided to ask folks to share their habits with us, especially those that they feel helped them succeed.

A few habits that have helped me as an artist: 1- Focus on process rather than outcome in the early stages. 2- “The Production Mode” habit. Concentrated production across multiple pieces in a single time block. Using a preformed pattern set or color set on several pieces at once. 3- Structured Experimentation. While there is an overlap, it is often useful to separate the production cycle from an experimentation stage. In a dedicated experimentation session, I have found success in having some structured notes and goals for the session and recording patterns and techniques that worked, didn’t work, or need to be explored further. Success to me means living authentically and pursuing what truly matters to me and also achieving goals that I set for myself . With that being said , the habits that have helped me the most would be… – [ ] praying and reading my word (the Bible. I wouldn’t be able to do anything without God being at the center of it all. He’s the reason I even have a purpose. – [ ] journaling . Journaling helps me be more self aware and provides me with a space to reflect on my feelings , random thoughts , and experiences making sure I never get overwhelmed . Having a short memory has played a big role with being successful. Forgetting bad experiences quickly helps me remain focused. It takes a lot of courage and willpower to move past shortcomings and looses in business.
