Prior to launching my business, I went through a purpose defining process of determining why I was drawn to baking and why I wanted to launch a macaron specialty company. In this process I realized that I loved baking because the results contributed to the favorite part of a meal…dessert or simply brought people together even if it was just dessert! Dessert was the special part of family dinner in my home and during my childhood, my Grandmother always made delicious desserts to top it all off. The tagline for Lady Belle is “French Flair Southern Flavor” because the core flavor profiles of my macarons include southern favorites like Sweet Potato Pie, Peach Cobbler, Banana Pudding, Red Velvet. I want my legacy to be my family. What I want people to remember about me is my devotion, love and commitment to my family and our total emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. I wanted to create a family environment of love, joy, warmth and safety. A home where there is freedom for us all together to grow into our own unique, authentic expressions in an organic way, free of any burdens of unrealistic expectations. That is really the highest expression of my heart. Balancing a family life is such an enormous challenge. There’s no one size fits all approach and having tremendous flexibility in an approach is very important.
