We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Ashford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’m taking my business one step at a time. I believe that marketing/ expressing myself in a proper manner is my top priority to connect and collaborate with others.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe my art separates from the rest due to the fact that I am telling my unique stories and expressing my interest. I’m very open/ excited to try new things to enhance my artistic style. I got this far by not giving up and being okay with not being perfect. The lessons that I have learned along the way is to not sell myself short.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friend to little 5 points on a Saturday afternoon to thrift shop and walk around. Then we would go to eat at Beetlecat or a poke bowl restaurant.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out the people that never gave up on me and would always show unconditional support.
