We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronterious Napier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ronterious, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I grew up feeling like I was different and never knew why I always felt like I had to do something or I was behind. I found out I had uncontrolled anxiety. I struggled keeping focus in school or even staying focused long enough to read a paragraph. The love I had for music gave me more patience and became a habit. I’d take time everyday to focus on my music and this taught me tricks and ways to stay focused and revert all my potential energy thats been reserved for so long , into projects. I took this method and used it with my everyday life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I loved art and drawing all my life but it’s wasn’t into later in my young adult life, that I realized music is really art. You can start with a blank canvas and end with a break taking, well finished project. Art is about what you love as an observer or you love as a listener when it comes to art.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the outdoors so I’d take my friends hiking earlier in the morning first. After when the sun comes up maybe go to the beach and sit down at a restaurant by the shore. Have brunch and talk laugh while I see what they like to do as well for fun so we can incorporate that. I like to make other people happy. So I always consider them no matter what.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout-out to our father and creator. Many times I faced situations I never thought I’d make it out of and I turned to the lord for strength and he really answered. I was facing 60 years in prison at one point for allegations that were false. I think god I made it through and I moved to a different city and started a new life. Without faith I’d never took that risk.
