Most of the media often paints all businesses with a single stroke, but in our experience businesses are each unique and so many of them are focused on making the world a better place. We’ve highlighted a few such gems below.
The social impact of National Dimples Day can be viewed twofold: Celebratory and Supportive. On National Dimples Day everyone with dimples can now celebrate, we advise everyone to do something that brings them joy. If you are doing something that brings you joy, in most cases you are going to be flexing your dimples, including those with Dimples of Venus and Dimples of Apollo (ex. going to the beach, exposing your dimples). I’ve been in the economic development field for the last 13 years. When I launched my business focusing on economic development consulting work – that was the easiest transition. I was already doing it; my network was heavily connected to it. The first year of my business was a broad stroke of what consulting meant to me, including the type of clients and projects to pursue. The Social Impact that Hood Healing Poetry has on the world is in our name. We are a brand that embodies our mission statement as we truly are “Healing the Hood One Poem at a Time.” I curate events at The Bookstore Gallery for all creatives, but strategically targeting “underground,” urban creatives, to feel free to perform any art genre (poetry, comedy, rap, sing, etc.) My platform has been proclaimed by supporters as safe space and it is because each event is curated with pure intentions.
