We had the good fortune of connecting with Mike Huddleston CC Indivero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mike Huddleston, what do you attribute your success to?
Georgia Vintage Goods was founded as an outlet to share the vintage items we had collected over the years. In the beginning, we were setting up a tiny market all on our own but soon realized by sharing our space with other collectors and creatives from around Atlanta and beyond we could all benefit from the additional exposure. Over the course of the past 7 years we have always put the success of our community of tiny businesses first by hosting markets that highlight the best handmade artisans, vintage curators and local artists. Our success comes 100% from the support of these vendors and the customers who show up every time we host an event!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Georgia Vintage Goods grew very organically and began as just a hobby. We both work full time jobs unrelated to the vintage resale world. CC is a hair dresser at Maggie Murphy’s in the Summerhill neighborhood of Atlanta and Mike is a Procurement and Fleet Manager for a construction company. Hard work and preparation for our events have made each year more successful than the last! We are very proud of our new larger markets that have started this year at venues such as Atlanta Dairies and Centre Parc Stadium!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Other than going to one of our events at 97 Estoria, Summerhill or Atlanta Dairies here are a few of our favorites things to do…
Have a drink at Flatiron or The Clermont!
See a local band at The Earl or 529!
Get out of the city and hike in north Georgia or go for a swim at Lake Allatoona!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to Shoutout 97 Estoria and the entire Cabbagetown community! Since the beginning of our journey they have been home base for our monthly vintage and handmade pop up series and invited us to be a part of neighborhood events such as Forward Warrior, a street art festival showcasing muralists from around the country!
