We had the good fortune of connecting with Zerrontae Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zerrontae, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Knowing that i could do more. Working for so long, then retiring, and only getting to really live for 20 years ish doesn’t sound right to me. Life is about experiencing, and 20 years seems like a lot of time but there’s so much to learn and do. Just doesn’t work for me

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I make music. Some to get into your feelings, some to turn you up, n some in just about any genre i feel like doing. Starting to make music isn’t easy by any means especially now. you have those that’ll tell you it’s not gonna go anywhere, or you have those who will laugh at you and act like it’s a side project in your life. In some perspectives it might be but it’s a passion at the end of the day. Therapy, coping mechanism, hobby, etc. music has already done a lot for me. Entrepreneurs will tell you all the time not to listen to those negative people and keep doing what you love, and that’s 100% the correct way to go. With my “group”/ label (FARO INDEPENDENT) I openly share my real thoughts. FARO (For All Real Ones) was created to let people know you can be real. the truth is always the best. it’s a motto, lifestyle, personal belief, etc.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly i’d take em around just to see the city. Keep an eye out for any new spots i haven’t checked out. A lot of the fun entering a new city or state is the mystery of what’s there. Whether it’s a club, bar & grill, nice hotel, pool, fun spots like laser tag, bowling, or anything of that sort is a good time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
