Meet Zephaniah Jones | Head of Operartions/CEO Think All Be All, Musician (Piano/Bass), Instructor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zephaniah Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zephaniah, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is everything. What I think should be understood about the idea of risk taking is that the biggest risk come from lack of understanding the input and output. When I take risks a lot of the time I am going on faith in my beliefs, but there is a lot on studying the risk that goes into it as well. As a musician it’s risky for me to just jump into playing in a show and not understanding the style of music that being played, but if I have the chance to hear and learn some of the ideas I lessen the risk. Is it still a risk? Absolutely, because anything could happen but if it goes well it could be a step towards a bigger opportunity. Risks are chances to fail and learn lessons that lead to more experiences. I think risks are the precursors to success in many ways. Without the many risks that I’ve taken so far I would have missed out of some pretty cool opportunities and connections. The networking is usually where the biggest risks come from for me. It’s the confidence and courage to meet the people and create something needed.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Think All Be All is a Creative Arts Incubator located in Montgomery AL. where we perform, teach, consult, and create opportunities and provide resources to those who care about the arts. We started in 2018 and have performed in a variety of places as a and called TABA. We believe that our gifts will pave the way to changing the culture and artistic scene in Montgomery. We learned early on that we should jump into creating and setting the scene regardless of the no’s and that is something we stick by. We are extremely proud of the energy and support that we’re getting because it’s been a long time coming and we’re only getting started with actions and innovations.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Lower Lounge, a place very near and dear to Think All Be All! We are regulars, we bring a group with us after every show that we do, and we are also the first band to play in the space, as well as pack it to capacity the same night! Escapology is a cool indoor escape room around the corner from the Lower Lounge. There is BBKings and Itta Bena which are both great food and performance spaces. The Museum of Fine Arts is always a go for me as well. If we have the opportunity there are spaces around Alabama in general that are hidden gems so we’d definitely need to map some things out.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I liked to shout out to Alabama artists, specifically in Montgomery the GUYS of Think All Be All (IG) for their amazing work (John, Chris, Rod, Kenny), Trewthestar (IG) for his efforts and dedication to learning his craft, LitVisionz (IG) for his work in the lighting business, and for AJ Hebrew (theycallmemaestro IG), Darius (Da1foru IG), Duke_the_guitarist (IG), and so many other amazing people that I can express later.
