Meet Zaria Singleton | Event Host and Retail Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zaria Singleton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zaria, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Overtime my work life balance have changed drastically! Because I started my ambitions with promotions, modeling, and the plethora of other things that I do at an early age I was able to do so much in a small amount of time. Currently, having other obligations, I had to cut off a few of those side hustles and reassess how I manage my free time. I am at a point of my life where I work my job, work on my business and occasionally have other things that I add to my agenda. When I think about my work life balance honestly I don’t even go out unless I am getting paid to host or do an event so I think you can figure the rest out LOL.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
First thing first I’m short so that always sets me apart from the others but to be completely honest I am a 411 female that is curvy and with a low hair cut. When I step in to the room all eyes are on me from that point on. From working with Jessica Gates in the modeling industry from that point I always had to make sure I was on point with my outfits in here when I stepped out I always promoted people in my life so it came natural to me therefore people started to contact me to promote their events or just the spread word about it. As I got older and just shortly after I lost my son I told myself “ Z you have to get paid for what you do because if not they’re going to keep running over you.” And I did exactly that as far as Promotions I started charging but as of late I have to died down in the promotion around but never for it it’s coming back sooner than expected. As far as my hosting any time I walk into a building you will hear someone yell out ZeeTheWho and of course I’ll come back with ZeeThePromotHER. (Said out loud as Zee The Promoter) ZeeTheWho is a persona I created for myself because I do so much. I’ve branded myself and people know I’m a jack of all trades. A one stop shop and if I can’t do it I know at least 3 people in the category you’re looking for that can get the job done.
Now I am still in the process of fully gathering myself in my business, but even getting to the point where I am now it was not easy but it was well worth it. Due to a lot of personal issues I had going on growing up as well as in my adult life I had a lot of trials and tribulations. Granted I am not even over the age of 25, but I’ve been through more than what most people will ever imagine going through in their life. With me being a old soul I was grateful enough to have a lot of friends that were always 10-20 years my age that would speak life into me. Also because of them I was able to learn lessons sometimes the hard way because I didn’t want to listen but when I did, I saw exactly what they meant. Being a female in the entertainment industry as well as being young it is always a target because people think that I am naïve and don’t know what I am talking about and or think they can get over on me. But what they don’t know is I have a team of people that would go to the moon and back for me to make sure that I am unharmed and taken care of.
With that being said I’ve been taking over columbus a month at a time and it’s time for ZeeTheWho to pop up and show out in another city!!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I know a little bit of everybody. Therefore I hang out with all types of people And get the best of all worlds. Let’s see what type of party I have for you in store!!
Sunday we would go to church of course to cleanse ourselves from any sins from the week LOL. From there we would head on over to Café Larue for brunch of course yummy. Maybe we would do a little shopping and use my discount at forever 21 because who doesn’t love a little shopping. From there we would probably get some wine from Mr. Bs off at 13th St. And head on into the house to chill but not for long because at 8:30 we will head out to The Suite for some great vibes!
Monday We would go visit a local Waffle House because that is one of my favorite places to go LOL. Honestly I would probably have my notebooks and pens jotting down ideas as well as making business plans and handling business I do well when I sit at waffle house and think LOL. To keep moving on we will head on over to 4.0 Fit with the goat Coach T flow and see what he got going on and get a quick workout in. Don’t tell coach but we would probably go to CJs Wings n Things a local black owned restaurant to eat lunch. We would head on back to my place to wind down. Netflix and wine sounds like a plan. And we cannot end the night with out going to the TRS Lounge for Margarita night !! With my boy DJ TYREFFIC on the 1s n 2s and Jamaal Austin at the BAR ALL NIGHT LONG
Tuesday I would start the day off by filling up my car at a Shell gas station because I get $.15 off with T-Mobile Tuesdays LOL your girl loves her deals. Today I would spin shopping and or just taking you to some local black on boutiques we would make our way to about three or four of them and then head on over to Niceys barbecue a black owned restaurant for some good old BBQ. I’m a old lady so I need my naps lol. Once we get up from our cat naps we would go to Hangouts for dinner and drinks and more importantly KAROKE! Then we would head over to The Suite for RnB Tuesday’s and some more drinks.
Wednesday is usually my catch up and chill day but since you’re in town I won’t be a party pooper. So we would sleep in of course. Once we got up we would go walk the trail or bike depends on my knees lol. Just to talk and catch up while getting our workout on. We would head back to the house shower and out the door we go again. By now it’s at least 3p meaning we have 2 hours left before I have to prepare my weekly podcast I’m on. So for these two hours I think I want to spend it.. yeah you guessed it getting some FOOD! I love supporting black owned businesses but I really love supporting just small businesses in general so we would head over to Speakeasy’s. They been here for over 75 years and are loveeeeeely. And now we stuffed our faces we head to the podcast Peep The Perspectives (available on all podcast sites ) with my lovely lady friends Brandy “Lade Breez” Elam, Shanta “#BeautySquared the Dr. Diva” McClurkin Patrick, Keshia “Blue Bombshell” Taylor, and ReeSee “YourFav PlusDiva” Fowler. We always have a ball when we have our sessions especially when the producer the one and only CJ Joyner, CEO and Founder of Monsta Music Recordings, is MOST definitely dying of tears and annoyed with us!

Once we finish we have 2 options we can do karaoke at Wild Wings Cafe or we can go to After 5 which is another black owned restaurant/club/lounge (actually they own Cjs too!) Once we make up our mind we would bring it on in by 12/1am
Thursday boy oh boy what a day… During the day we would take the time to visit all the historical sites in Columbus Georgia so that means going To the Columbus museum and from there we would walk downtown and look at all the historical monuments in such down there. Of course all that walking will bring up a appetite meaning we would go to Your Pie and get some good ole pizza. Once we are all full we would head on over to the white water rafting for an adventurous ride on the wet rapid waves. Then we can cool off by zip lining across the Chattahoochee River. Being out in the sun all day calls for a well deserved wine and nap session. After our well deserved nap we would begin getting ready for The Suite. Tonight we will be classy with a hint of rachét. Thursday nights at The Suite starts with Jazz on the restaurant side so it’s good vibes and fun then by 11 the rachet gets goin on the club side. I usually stay to do a song or 2 on karaoke and dip.
Now it’s Friday more than likely I’m having to host somewhere so for the most part today we are meditating and I’m working on events and my next moves. But we do head over to Metro diner for brunch. From brunch we would get Mani Pedis and eyebrows arched. Do some last minute shopping with some small business boutiques. Now I’m in grind mode for the show. Getting my outfit from my stylist Alexandria Clemmons aka Alex Blaque.. then I’m getting my hair cut then followed by my makeup. Time is now 830 and it’s time to head on over to the event. Once it’s over we head down town to hit up Martinis shout out to Alvin and the gang. Then slide to Crowne Hookah to see my boy Karl aka DJ F.A.T.T Boi and the staff over there. We would stay for a bit to get their LOVELY crack tacos #ItGottaBeRealCrack lol. Then we head on in for the night exhausted!
Saturday the last day. Man it felt like a century getting here but it went so fast because of all the fun. So you know I can’t let a Sistaaa depart with a WHOLE LITUATION!!! So it’s gone be a whole cookout at the crib and all the homies pulling up .. we got cards, board games, karaoke, uno/drunk uno.. hookahs, drinks on deck.. and PLENTY OF FOOD.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Boy oh boy, of course I have an amazing family and friends support system… but geez .. hmm where do I begin so I would like to dedicate my modeling life to the one in only Jessica Gates a.k.a. boss lady because of her I was able to work the behind the scenes of fashion shows dealing with designers and models and a plethora of other things. She is also the reason why I love to walk on a runway now. As far as my life and the entertainment industry I would like to give a shout out to Michael Soul Mohammed. When I was 13 he was The DJ at a block party that I hosted in my neighborhood from then I started working as a volunteer with the Davis Broadcasting radio station here in Columbus, Ga. In my senior year of high school I was able to run The Breakfast Club from 6a-8a before school. My friends thought I was the coolest when they heard me on the bus on the way to school. But moving along here. I also would like to give a shout out to Quinton Miles of My Life Entertainment because of him I was able to start my Hosting career. Since I started hosting which was November 2020 over 20 events and counting. And to save the best for last… I would like to give a shout out to God for giving me a son granted he’s not here physically because of him he made me push a lot harder and grind to get my business off the ground along with a nonprofit organization named after him.
