We had the good fortune of connecting with Zaire Danaé and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zaire, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my career has taught me is consistency & never giving up takes you a long way. Even when things seem like they’re not working, or being noticed; believe me someone is always watching.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Music has alway been apart of my life. From singing in church to my grandpa Bernard Gibson — who was apart of “Temptations Review”. Music is my birth right! Music runs through my veins. I don’t feel right thinking about anything else !

What I am most proud of is I didn’t let anyone or anything stop me from releasing my first single “Appreciate Me”. I knew that I had to put this song out, it was a true story. It was my story! I needed to help someone else who was possibly going through the same thing get over a heartbreak they didn’t think they could get over. The impact was so beautiful for me to be a new artist , releasing my first single ever! The outpour & dms I received from people saying they listen to it everyday & expressing to me how I’ve helped them , is what I love to hear. The feeling is so amazing knowing my gift helped someone overcome .

It took a lot for me to see myself as way more. I wasn’t always confident or sure in myself. It was hard to bring my self love back to a level that I knew it was suppose to be. But after high school graduation I promised myself that I have to go for what I truly love. No one is ever sure if they are really ready; just do it. That was hands down THE best decision I ever made.

What lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Don’t put your trust into other people. That’s a big mistake. Don’t have high expectations for anyone but yourself. Nobody owes you anything. If you want something truly , you go out & get it !

I want the world to know that I am all about being happy & living life. I like to think that I am a empath. I feel energy, I feel for people. I feel what they are feeling. Sometimes it’s overwhelming. That’s why I love extra hard & brings me down when others don’t do the same. So I go back into my hole, rejuvenate & come back outside lol! I am very very goofy, sensitive, vulnerable, & moody. Sometimes I want to be off to myself. I’m different on certain days, but I still remain sweet & positive. I love peace! It’s soo weird.

Growing up I always felt like an outcast. Music is the only thing that made me feel like I mattered. I wasn’t the girl who won everything, or got every award. But I was the girl who could really sing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The best place to check out is Crazy Crab ! I absolutely love seafood. Salmon is one my favorite foods. I have to take my bestie there! lol

There are a couple of fun spots we could hang out like Defy , Northland Skating Rink, & downtown Detroit to see the beautiful lights!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank my nation, my village! They never gave up on me. When I said this is what I wanted to do; there were no doubts about it. My family is truly my backbone!
